Over 60 Crocs competed at the SWAT Winter Invite last weekend, a prelims/finals meet designed as a primer for the championship meets later in the short course season. 12 CAST Athletes traveled to the second annual Vandal Invitational, a prelims/finals championship style competition with several club teams as well as 2 college teams in attendance. Our athletes swam extremely tough all weekend-with very short turnaround times in between swims, kids had little time in between races to recover and often doubled up events in the span of mere minutes. CAST brought nearly 50 swimmers to the SWAT Fall Challenge last weekend for the first full meet of the short course season. It was wildly successful weekend of swimming, with plenty of team spirit, huge time drops, and great racing! 7 CAST swimmers made their competitive debuts: Caroline Anderson, Ezra Bretveld, Kyra Ellsworth, Daniel Garcia, Raya Moore, Kinley Ochoa, and Kelly Thompson. CAST had 34 swimmers compete in the Moses Lake Sprint Shootout, a pentathlon style competition where the 8 fastest cumulative times from the 5 events for each age group dueled in a single elimination 25 yard sprint to see who was the fastest!
