Hello SWAT!

We hope everyone enjoyed the end of summer and has transitioned well into the school year. Just a few things to get the season off to a great start.

Welcome New Swimmers and Families!

You’ll see a lot of new faces on deck these next few weeks. We finished our tryout week last Thursday and have welcomed 29 new athletes into the SWAT family!

Most of us remember what it was like when we first entered the swimming world and the questions we had. If you meet some of our new parents on deck please take the time to introduce yourself and help answer any questions they might have.

If you would like to speak to a coach to answer any questions, please arrange a time to speak with a coach before or after practice. Coaches’ time during practice should be focused on the athletes.

New Families, Welcome aboard we hope your introduction to the team is smooth. Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.

SWAT Team Store

SWAT is now an ARENA Team. We have decided to drop TYR and change our team sponsor this year to ARENA. There were several reasons for this: Customer Service, Sponsorship Benefits, and the Tech suits are of better quality than their counterparts.

We will make the change gradually. If your swimmer doesn’t need a new Team Suit or a new Backpack, etc. Don’t worry, just purchase the new gear when it’s time to replace the old gear.

You can visit our team store at www.Swimoutlet.com and look for the “Teams” Tab on the right. Search for Spokane Waves Aquatic Team and our team link will pop up. You will need to create an account to begin purchasing through Swimoutlet. All orders will ship directly to your home.

Our Team Suit this year is the Black Solid Icons listed on the site. Training gear required for each training group is also available for purchase on our team page.

SWAT Team Caps and Team Towels!

Be on the lookout for emails regarding Team Caps and Team Towels. These orders are separate from Swimoutlet and will be handled in bulk through SWAT. We only do Cap orders a couple times a year so be sure to get yours asap. SWAT is ordering Team Towels this year. We’re excited to add this for the athletes. Like the caps the next towel order won’t be until next year so be sure to get yours while you can.

Parent Meetings

Coach Shane has already held a parent meeting for all our Wave Riders and Ripples parents (Thank you to all who attended). Be on the lookout for additional emails from the coaches regarding Parent meetings for your swimmers respective training groups.

First Meet of the 2022-2023 Short Course Season

The Moses Lake Sprint Shootout is the first competition of the SC Season. The Meet Registration Deadline has been extended through tomorrow (Tuesday, Sept 13).

For our new families, the registration process is simple; after you have logged into your account through the team website, look for the Events Tab on the left side of the page.
