Coaches Note 11-17-09
Gobble, gobble! Turkey Trot begins Friday afternoon. Remember, due to the meet there is NO PRACTICE FRIDAY or SATURDAY FOR ANY GROUP! That includes you, Masters team!
· Winter Weather Policy
Now that the snow is flying (kind of…), here is what we expect/recommend for icy, snowy weather. Please assume that practice WILL OCCUR!!! In the event of cancellation, we will POST the announcement on the website and EMAIL it to every member. Therefore, before heading out to practice on poor weather days, please check the web or your email. If you are unable to check online, please call someone who is in your own practice group first. Please only call Kevin or Keddy as a LAST RESORT—there are over 150 swimmers on our team, and we can’t handle dozens and dozens of phone calls asking about practice.

· Training Tip of the Week: Attitude
The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important that facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company…a church…a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past…we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and this our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so, it is with you…we are in charge of attitudes. – Charles Swindoll
