Carrie Rink- Head Coach

Email: [email protected]

I am originally from the area but moved to Morris at age 5 and started swimming at age 7 for the Morris Marlins. Moving back to the area in 6th grade, I swam for the Bradley-Bourbonnais Dolphins ages 11-14. At the age of 12, I qualified for the Junior Olympics in the 50 Breaststroke. I did not swim through high school though, as other sports took this place & I went to Bishop McNamara HS.

But after becoming lifeguard certified at age 14 and teaching swim lessons at 16, I couldn’t stay out of the water!  I then started coaching at age 19-21 for the Dolphins.  In 2003, I moved to the Los Angeles area, teaching private swim lessons at client's homes. As I moved around for 6 years in California and Arizona, I continued to teach lessons to all ages and aqua fitness classes. After having 2 children, (Carson Quigley-Sophomore and Charlie Quigley-8th Grade), I found myself moving back to the area again to be near family.

Both of my boys’ swim for the Dolphins and now Carson swims for the BB High school team as well. I have been coaching for the Dolphins again for the past 7 years on and off.

This year, I am proud to be your 2021/22 Head Coach, excited to add my twist and goals for this club as we grow. My Motto is basically- “I’m a firm believer in good technique as the rest will come as they grow”.  I often tell the kid’s you are the “Little engine that could”.

Outside of swimming I am now the Director of Youth Ministry at Maternity BVM Parish full time.I have been married now to my wonderful husband Ryan Rink for over 6 blessed years. Together we have 6 children and 3 grandchildren. In our spare time, we love to travel, boating, & any outdoor activities. Water sports are a must!!

Jana Sheely- Assistant Coach

Hi. My name is Jana Sheely my life’s motto is “Just Keep Swimming… Just Keep Swimming....”.  I have an extensive background in swimming, having been a Dolphin, BBCHS, and a Eureka College swimmer. Now that my son, Grant, is becoming more active in swimming, it only made sense that I went back to coaching the Dolphins, as I did earlier in my life. I currently work in the Kankakee School District and coached the Special Olympics. I also own Sweet Connections of Kankakee. For fun, I like taking walks in nature, reading, and doing arts and crafts. I look forward to coaching your child(ren) and having an awesome season with the Dolphins.

Karim Bouferrache- Assistant Coach

My name is Karim Bouferrache.  I was a competitive swimmer for 18 years, including college. I was Algeria’s national champion seven times, three individuals and four relays.  After completing my competitive swimming career and graduating college with an advanced degree in sports science, I moved to Portland, Oregon where I opened a swim school and a swim team. The team is still running under my brother's leadership with great achievements, including 4 Olympic trial qualifiers and Olympic medalists at the Tokyo Olympics. After years of teaching and coaching swimming, I decided to go back to school to study medicine. I have been a certified neurosurgical PA for the last 10 years at Riverside Medical Center. I am excited to start another season with BBSC.

Molly Siniawski- Assistant Coach

Hello Dolphins! My name is Molly Siniawski and I am excited to be one of your 2021-2022 coaches. I swam competitively from the age of 8 through college and have been around swimming my whole life. In fact that is how I met my husband! We swam together in college. I was a distance swimmer in college and mainly swam the 200 and 400 IM, 200 Back, 200 Fly, 500, 1000, and the mile. I was qualified for Division II Nationals all four years of college and placed in the top eight each year. I am an all American and was inducted into Lewis University’s Hall of Fame in 2005.  I started teaching swim lessons at 15 and have taught swim lessons on and off throughout my life. In addition to helping coach the club team I grew up with, I coached the Tinley Park Sharks after college. Outside of the pool, I am an elementary school counselor and have worked with preschool- 8th grade students in some form for over 15 years. Proper technique and training is important but it's the character building that I enjoy shaping.

My husband, Jim and I have three daughters, and live in Manteno. My older two girls are on the swim team and have LOVED every minute of it and my younger daughter still has a few more years to go before she will join. I grew up swimming for the East Moline Swim Club in the Quad Cities.

During my 7th grade year, I found out about the dolphins, I immediately joined and fell in love. I swam until my freshman year. My sophomore and junior year I took a break from competitive swimming. I have always loved swimming , but I have many other passions. I love to run track, do photography, work as a lifeguard and travel. I love trying new things and stepping out of my comfort zone. I am currently a senior and I am so excited to go to college for Criminology, Psychology, and Spanish. One day I would love to be a lawyer or work in the field of law.
