Expectations for Competitions

1. Be a good Sport. Shake hands or high 5 after a race no matter what. You all are participating together to make everyone fast!

2. Cheer for your team mates!

3. New for 2021-2022 - Please wear a HEAT cap and team suit (plain black suit) for ALL meets. This is going to look amazing if we look the same.

3. A Meet Entry Report will be posted the Monday (or even earlier) before the meet. Double check your entries for accuracy. Don't go by the event numbers ont his report. Wait until the heat sheet is printed at the meet to write down meet event nummers.

4. A Meet Overview will be posted the Monday before the meet, as well. This is a shortened version of the meet information with specific information for our swimmers.

5. Be ON TIME for warm ups! This info is posted on the meet tab on the main page of our website, as well as, the MEET OVERVIEW.

6. Bring proper gear. Extra goggles, 2 towels, chair (if allowed). Meet snacks.

5. Focus on things you can control like the things you do in PRACTICE! Do not worry about where you are seeded, who is in your heat, trying to win or even trying to get a cut! Stick to the things you can control and everything else will fall into place.

7. Relays, often times, will be mixed up during the year when possible to give many people chances to swim with different team mates. At major competitions, especially, Championship meets, we will create the fastest relays possible even if there happens to be a younger swimmer swim up an age group (when allowed) to make that happen.

8. If the meet is a prelim/final meet and you make finals YOU ARE EXPECTED to stay for it. If there are extenuating circumstances where you can't you MUST FOLLOW MEET PROTOLCOL to scratch from finals. Please communicate with your coaches. Some meet come wit hefty fines if you don't show up to finals!
