When did you start swimming?  How did you get started?  What teams or clubs have you swum with?

I started swimming at age 3 with lessons at Indian Acres, and later joined their team at age 5.  I have swum with Indian Acres, Storm Aquatics and Heat.


What are your college plans?  Will you swim?  What will you major in?

This fall I will be hanging up my goggles and attending the University of Illinois to study Bioengineering.


What have you learned from swimming?

From swimming I have learned hard work, discipline, to never give up and always trust in the taper.  An added bonus was learning how to get ready for school in 20 minutes in the Y locker room after morning practice.


What is your favorite swimming memory?

My favorite swimming memory was finally breaking a minute in my 100 free at my high school sectional swim meet, senior year.  Immediately afterwards, I got tons of hugs from my teammates and coaches, and also received my first individual medal at Sectionals.


What is your favorite event?  Least favorite?

My favorite event is the 50 free and my least favorite is the 100 breaststroke.


What is your favorite movie?  Favorite food?  Favorite place?

My favorite movie is Sweet Home Alabama.  My favorite food is Jarling's Custard Cup.  My favorite place is Indian Acres or Walt Disney World.


What 3 people would you invite to dinner?

The three people I would invite to dinner are Charles Dickens, Walt Disney and Don Arnold.


Tell us something about yourself that people might find surprising or interesting.

Something about myself that people might find surprising or interesting is that I am blessed to be able to go to college with both of my older brothers, and I can't wait to live in the same dorm as them this fall.
