Michael Lynch Head Coach

I could not be prouder to be the Head Coach of this phenomenal club. I look forward to helping your swimmer(s) reach their potential and their goals in the water. Our Core Values of Hard Working, Selfless, Resilient, Caring, and Positive are our team's backbone. You will not find a more dedicated coach or coaching staff that will be with you day in and day out, grinding it out to become a better athlete and swimmer.

"Become a better swimmer today than you were yesterday."

Ashley Porter Assistant Coach

I am so excited to be joining the GILLS coaching staff. I started swimming when I was 8 years old and swam until my swimming career ended in college, swimming Division I at Bradley University.  I have coached all levels of ability for MANY years and am so fortunate that swimming is a sport my entire family can be a part of together.  I have two children, and we are thrilled to be a part of this team!  I look forward to working with your swimmers and instilling in them the same passion and drive for the sport of swimming as I have had all of my life.

Brian Porter Assistant Coach

I have enjoyed getting to know your swimmers more and more and am proud to be a part of the GILLS coaching staff. I did not start swimming until high school, swimming for Carl Sandburg High School. However, my passion for the sport quickly extended into coaching. I have coached for MANY years at all different age and ability levels. I am BIG on technique and feel that it is one of the most important factors for success in the sport. My goals are to have fun, focus on technique, and help to instill values that make our athletes successful people both on and off the pool deck.
