Board Members to start in the 2023/2024 Season

Nicole Bowlin-(2026)

Nicole Bowlin is a former college athlete in a sport quite different than anything related to aquatics. She grew up figure skating and found her way to a specific discipline called synchronized skating at the age of 9.  Nicole was part of a figure skating club in the northwest suburbs that was governed by parent volunteers who helped the club  function for the benefit of the skaters.   Through this club, its coaches, parents and teammates she was prepared for the opportunity  to skate for the first ever varsity synchronized skating program in her freshman year at Miami University.
Nicole has one son as a part of the program, Brock (11/12) swim. She recognizes and values the importance of parent involvement and ultimately board involvement is something that is near and dear and resonates especially now as a parent in a club like Lyons Aquatics.  Since retiring her skates after college, Nicole's professional path has been rooted in marketing, specifically advertising, working at various agencies in Chicago serving as the business lead between clients and the internal agency team. From the various brands she's had the opportunity to support and grow, to the vast teams she's been part of, Nicole is glad to leverage her experience to benefit the club.

Mike Carin- (2026)

Mike Carin has two sons in the Lyons Aquatics program, Gannon (12)  water polo; and Paul (10) swim.  Mike swam in high school and also played water polo in college. Mike dsires to focus his time on the board on seeing that each swimmer/player has the opportunity for an incredible experience;  parents are provided as much information as possible; and finally, that the details of each event are ironed out ahead of time.

Meagan O' Neil - (2026)

Meagan O'Neil has been a Highlands resident for almost 10 years. She is an assistant principal at West Leyden High School in Northlake.  Meagan's son, Seamus (12) has been interested in water polo for several years, since he was little watching practices at the LFC when her husband used to manage there. Meagan is very interested in growing the sport, not only in the La Grange area, but also in the state of Illinois. She would love to see more water polo opportunities for younger athletes,  more pool time, and also  to  support Lyons Aquatics and spread awareness of this awesome sport.
