LYONS AQUATICS Water Polo Junior Olympic Team

  • BOYS- June 5th to July 18th
  • GIRLS- June 5th to July 23rd

The goal of the LYONS AQUATICS Water Polo Junior Olympic (JO) team is to provide a highly competitive training environment for our athletes to participate at the highest possible level while striving for the best finish attainable in the JO Tournament in California.  We will be selecting the top 10-15 athletes per age group. Team tryouts took place February 26th - ONLY athletes that completed tryouts and were selected for teams will be accepted onto rosters.

Registration Deposit$300.00

This is the first of two non-refundable deposits made for our 2023 JO Competition.  The second deposit of $300 will be billed on May 1st.  The remainder of the travel/tournament expenses will be billed following the conclusion of the tournament

Season Fees:  $520.00

Season fee covers practice and coaching expenses during the summer season.  This fee will be billed on June 1st and does not go towards the JO Travel Trip, and is in addition to that cost.

18u Boys, 16u Boys will fly out on July 10th

16u Girls will fly out on July 15th

  • Travel Training and Tournament is $1700 (not including food or additional activities)

  • The trip will be coach-led which means that the players will travel with coaches.  Coaches will drive the players from the hotel to the games and back and forth.  The players will stay in hotel rooms with their teammates.  The teams will all stay at the same hotel.  The club will reach out to parents if chaperones are needed.  

  • Costs for the trip: approximate

    • A week at a hotel- $421 per player (four players to a room)

    • Round trip flights to OC Airport- $645

    • Club travel fee- $200

    • Tournament fee- $150

    • Team suit and gear- $120

    • Ground transportation- $170 per player (6 players in a minivan)
