Coaches and Directors
Sharon's coaching philosophy is that she believes in each swimmer's potential as athletes, team mates, and leaders. She believe every swimmer has something to give to the team whether you are new to the team or experienced. She will work with each swimmer to develop personal goals for stroke and time achievement.
Sharon has over 25 years of swimming experience that includes coaching and officiating. As a Head Coach for USA Swimming, recreation, and high school teams, she has helped coach numerous swimmers to reach championship-level meets. Many of the swimmers she has coached have gone on to swim for college and university teams.
She looks forward to getting to know all the swimmers she will be coaching for the Woodstock Dolphins and helping them to reach their swim goals.

I started swimming when I was 4 years old (with the Lesniaks as my coaches) and recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater, where I swam all 4 years. I have reached championships level meets including NCAAs, but really cherish the memories and friendships that I have made throughout my years of swimming. My main strokes were butterfly and breaststroke. I look forward to everything coming full circle with me coaching with the coaches that taught me, being on the the other side of the sport and impacting swimmers the way my coaches impacted me.
Ryan started swimming competitively with the Lesniak's as his coaches when he was 5 years old. He swam for the Round Lake Ducks, McHenry Marlins, Woodstock Dolphins, and Grant High School.
His favorite strokes are butterfly, breaststroke, and freestyle. He swam sprint and distance events.
Ryan is currently attending Lewis University where he is focusing on his degree to become a Commercial Pilot.
Ryan is excited to come back on breaks to help coach the team.
I was a member of the Woodstock Dolphins for the past 10 years. I swim for Indiana State University, a division 1 college. I am also studying civil engineering technology. My strokes include butterfly and long-distance freestyle. I am continually learning more about the sport of swimming and am excited to share my knowledge with future swimmers.
I swam competitively for the dolphins for ten years, and during
that time I was also on the Woodstock High School team.
I am currently attending St Norbert College, majoring in biology
and swimming on their swim team. At St Norbert, I swim distance
freestyle, IM, and some backstroke.
I am learning so much more about the sport, and look forward to
coming back to coach with the dolphins on breaks.
