Hope everyone had a great break! I know all the coaches are ready to get back to the pool and we hope the swimmers are equally excited

Just a few announcements this week things will begin to pick up again at the start of November!

Bulldog Prep & Futures Get Together

Bulldog Prep & Futures Get Together—October 27^th; 4-7 pm; Wilson’s House (1642 Northwind). Please check if your swimmer has received an invitation via Evite to the email they have registered for the club. If not please contact Renee Wilson if you didn’t receive (rdmwils@yahoo.com; 563-349-7176)

Calender Update

We are going to be adding all events from the competition schedule to the event calendar; unfortunately this means each event created sends out an email. So they are going to get a bunch of emails on upcoming events. No to do’s for them, but wanted everyone to know we understand it will trigger a lot of emails up front, but will make sure all events are on the event calendar earlier for planning! Given PDF’s change; this will make sure we keep them up to date on the calendar instead of PDF’s.

Officials Clinic

Please consider taking the first step towards becoming a USA Swimming official.

Why should I be an official? We are able to host meets, which greatly supports our Club, due to our wonderful workers, including our Officials. We have had a history of having many wonderful officials and we need this to continue to be a thriving club. You are on deck and closer to the action. You gain a more thorough understanding of swimming. You make new friends and you get FREE hospitality food. Officiating meet sessions at our hosted meets counts fulfills required worker sessions. Also, once you have completed your apprentice sessions, your account will be credited $100.

Jay Watson has graciously agreed to host two new officials clinics at his home.

Oct. 13 from 12:30 – 2:30 pm for Stroke and Turn Officials . This is for individuals interested in being on deck.

Oct. 13 from 3-5 pm for Administrative Officials . This is for those interested in learning the computer side of officiating.
