Please be sure to read our Tuesday weekly newsletter email in its entirety as it will contain information regarding upcoming meets, important practice information, volunteer opportunities, and much more. You will also be able to find the weekly newsletter on our websites homepage CGAC  under Latest News.

1.) SSC Summer Sizzler:  The meet is this weekend May 31- June 2! Please check the meet packet posted on our team website for warm-up times. If there are any changes to warm-up times or limitations set on events, an email will be sent out and a Facebook post will be made with the most current information. Shirt colors for the weekend: Friday-Black, Saturday-Red, Sunday-Gray. 

2.) Summer Parking at CG Site: Beginning Monday, June 3, all parking at the CG site will be in the lot off of Morgantown Rd, by the Student Activity Center, and swimmers may enter through door 6. The Hall of Excellence is still open this week, but door 6 will be open as well. Senior Team Swimmers: Coach Todd requests that you start parking in the Morgantown lot this week. 

3.) Summer Practice Schedules: There will be no change in the practice schedules at the CG site for the White, Red or Black Teams. Senior Team changes have begun this week (Mon-Fri 6-8am, Mon-Thurs 2-4pm and Sat. 7-9am). Pre-Senior Team changes will begin on June 3rd (emails were sent out to Pre-Senior Swimmers). Please let me know if you have any further questions. 

4.) Tennessee Excel Firecracker Travel Meet: The RSVP for our team travel meet to Brentwood, Tennessee, Excel Aquatics June 21-23 has passed, and no further swimmers can be added. An initial meet entry will be sent out for review once we have received acceptance into the meet. 

5.) Jaguar Aquatics Summer Invitational Meet: The RSVP for this meet is closed as well and no further swimmers can be added.

6.) Seymour Prelims/Finals Meet: The RSVP deadline is June 15. This meet is hosted by the Seymour Swim Club and is held at Sheilds Park Pool in Seymour. This is a prelims/finals format meet. The top 16 swimmers in prelims with the fastest times will qualify for finals . All 9-10 and 8 & Under events will be Timed finals events. Please click HERE for the meet packet.

7.) Questions for coaches: Coaches are available before and after practices to answer any questions you may have regarding practices, meets, dryland or any other concerns. Due to safety concerns and USA swimming rules, parents are not allowed on deck during practice times unless there is an emergency. Swimmers should have all needed equipment (including drinks and inhalers) with them behind their lane at the start of practices. 

8.) Summer Sharks & Minnows:  First practice is Tuesday, June 4 from 6:15 - 7:00pm. Please come prepared for practice with your swim suit, goggles, cap and towel.

From the Meet Coordinator:  Reminder - Our only home meet for the long course season is the 12& Under Stars & Stripes Meet that is a one session meet that will be held on Tuesday, July 16th.  Our meets cannot succeed without the help of our swim families so please sign up to volunteer to fulfill the 1 credit that is required during the long course season.  Older swimmers that are not swimming can help time to fulfill any volunteer requirements.   Volunteer signups will be turned on Monday, June 10th at 8pm.  The option to donate a gift card will not be made available until all volunteer slots are fulfilled.  If you have any questions, please contact me at  - Holly Argiris & Amanda Lavery

Ongoing Updates & Reminders

TN Hotel Block: The link to the CGAC block of rooms at the Hilton Garden Inn Nashville/Franklin Cool Springs is The room rate is $152.00 per night plus tax and this includes breakfast.  The block of rooms are only available until May 30th or when the group block is sold out (whichever comes first).

Counsilman Classic Job Sign-Ups: CGAC, UIndy, & Mooresville... We need your Help! We STILL have many positions left to fill for the Counsilman Classic meet, especially in hospitality and timers. If you have a High school student they may fulfill both the Hospitality and Timing positions! This is an EASY way to get those credits in while watching the best of the best compete.

Please take a moment to sign up to earn your 1 Long Course volunteer credit. If you do multiple sessions, they will count towards your credits for Short Course season.

2019 Summer CGAC Picnic: Please save the date for our summer all team picnic in the park.

When: Wednesday, June 26 @ 6pm

Where: Independence Park, Bargersville Utility Shelter

Bring: Lawn chairs and a food item to share (a link will be sent out shortly)

RSVP​: Please RSVP on the team website by Monday, June 24th, be sure to include the number of family members attending in the comments section.

Pitch-In Details: CGAC will provide hot dogs, buns, plates, napkins, utensils and condiments. We request that you bring an item based on the suggestions.

Center Grove Aquatic Club’s Board and Coaches are looking forward to a successful Long Course Season as we are already off to a wonderful start!

Meet Packet/Meet Announcements: All meet packets have been uploaded for all of our swim meets scheduled for this long course season. Reading the meet packet is very important to find key information regarding the meet our swimmers attend and compete.  If you click on each meet link in the 'EVENTS' section at the bottom of our team website, you can view all of the meet information, including warm ups, entry requirements, parking info, admission prices, map to the pool and other information.  Our CGAC home meet for 12 & Under Stars and Stripes will be uploaded soon. Meet packets for the Championships meets: Divisionals, Senior State, and Age Group State will be uploaded later in the summer.

#CHASESTRONG: The Smith Family of Indian Creek are friends of the CGAC family.  Chase, their 17 year old son, is fighting cancer for the 4th time. Many of you have asked how you can help.  The Smiths will be traveling to Cleveland, Ohio every week for the next few months for treatment.  The CGAC Family will be preparing snack bags for them to take each time they travel.  How can you help?  There will be a box on the table (by the folder boxes) marked for ChaseStrong donations.  We will be collecting Visa gift cards to purchase these snacks.  Any gift cards that are left over will be presented to the Smiths for their travel expenses.   If you wish to donate, please deposit Visa gift cards in that box at any time.  If you have any questions, please contact Michele De Luna,  Thank you on behalf of the Smith family and the CGAC family for your support.
