From Coach Amy:

1.) Excel Firecracker Invite Recap: Congratulations to all of those swimmers who competed in this year's Excel Firecracker Invitational! Everyone had a great time both in the pool and out of the pool spending time with teammates and getting to know each other. There were several best times and new state cuts were earned by Brooke Trammell and Lexi Wilhoit! 

2.) JAGS Meet: Information regarding the JAGS meet will be sent out later this week, as we receive psych sheets for the Friday night events and any information about any limited events. 

3.)Seymour Meet: The initial entry to the Seymour Meet has been sent in, and we cannot add any swimmers at this time. Events will be sent out once we receive confirmation of acceptance into the meet. 

4.) Practices this week (CG Site): White, Red, Black, PreSenior and Senior Teams will be on their normal Monday-Thursday Summer Schedules. There will be practice at the IUPUI Nat on Tuesday 6/25 and Thursday 6/27 night from 7-8:30pm for PreSenior 2&3, as well any Senior Team swimmer with a State Cut. Senior Team will have practice from 6-8am Friday morning. There will be NO PRACTICE Saturday 6/29 for any CG site group due to the JAGS meet. 

           There will be no Age Group practice on Wednesday 6/26 due to the club picnic. 

5.) CGAC 12&Under Stars and Stripes Meet: Be sure to RSVP your 12&Under swimmers to compete in our Stars and Stripes meet! This is not only a fun meet, but a great community event. We will have food trucks and vendors and then we will cap off the night with fireworks! 

6.) Senior Team Practice 6/30 - 7/7: Sunday will begin the 2019 IHSAA Summer Moratorium Week (June 30-July 7), where Coach Todd and I will not be able to coach our high school (both returning and incoming) swimmers. The practice schedule with Coach Trammell will be the following: Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 6-8am; 2-4pm (all lift 2-3pm),Tuesday & Thursday: 6-8am  Only, Saturday: 7-9am (swim only) **For those with Senior or Age Group State Cuts, there will be IUPUI practice from 7-8:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday (July 2&3) with Coach Connor.

All meet job positions have been filled!  Thank you to everybody that signed up to help!  If you were not able to find a spot, please keep watching Facebook and the weekly newsletter.  If any positions open up, I will post on facebook and the first person to respond will be given the position.  If you are no longer able to fulfill your position, please email us at Positions are locked and you will not be able to cancel your signup yourself.

Since all positions have been filled, We have opened up the option to donate a gift card to fulfill your club credit.  Remember that you are required to fulfill 1 club credit during the long course season.  If you chose to donate a gift card, it must be a $30 gift card to Wal-Mart and must have the authorization code receipt attached to receive credit.  Please mark your name on the gift card and place it in the payment box on the table in front of the ribbon room. .  ~ Holly Argiris & Amanda Lavery

Ongoing Updates & Reminders

#CHASESTRONG: The Smith Family of Indian Creek are friends of the CGAC family.  Chase, their 17 year old son, is fighting cancer for the 4th time. Many of you have asked how you can help.  The Smiths will be traveling to Cleveland, Ohio every week for the next few months for treatment.  The CGAC Family will be preparing snack bags for them to take each time they travel.  How can you help?  There will be a box on the table (by the folder boxes) marked for ChaseStrong donations.  We will be collecting Visa gift cards to purchase these snacks.  Any gift cards that are left over will be presented to the Smiths for their travel expenses.   If you wish to donate, please deposit Visa gift cards in that box at any time.  If you have any questions, please contact Michele De Luna,  Thank you on behalf of the Smith family and the CGAC family for your support.
