New Info

It was great to see everyone at the summer picnic last week. Thank you to everyone who helped out and pitched in. It is always fun to get together as a team outside of the pool and enjoy each other's company. We will do another one in September to kick off the Short Course season and give out awards for last season.

From Coach Amy:

1.) JAGS Meet: Job well done to the CGAC swimmers who competed in the JAGS meet this past weekend! Several swimmers concluded the weekend with several best times and new cuts! Ribbons will be placed in their file folders for the swimmers.

2.)Seymour Meet: The initial entry to the Seymour Meet has been sent in, and we cannot add any swimmers at this time. Events will be sent out once we receive confirmation of acceptance into the meet.

3.) Practices this week (CG Site): White, Red, Black and Pre-Senior 1 teams will be on their normal Monday-Wednesday Summer Schedules. There will be practice on Tuesday and Wednesday night from 7-8:30pm for Pre-Senior 2&3, as well any Senior Team swimmer who is eligible. Senior Team moratorium week schedule has been sent out in a separate email. All age group teams will practice at their normal times on Saturday morning.

There will be NO practice Thursday evening for any group so families can celebrate Independence Day!

4.) CGAC 12&Under Stars and Stripes Meet: Be sure to RSVP your 12&Under swimmers to compete in our Stars and Stripes meet! This is not only a fun meet, but a great community event. We will have food trucks and vendors and then we will cap off the night with fireworks!

Have a great week and see you at the pool.

Coach Amy

From the Meet Coordinator:

All meet job positions have been filled!  Thank you to everybody that signed up to help!  If you were not able to find a spot, please keep watching Facebook and the weekly newsletter.  If any positions open up, I will post on Facebook and the first person to respond will be given the position.  If you are no longer able to fulfill your position, please email us at Positions are locked and you will not be able to cancel your signup yourself.

Since all positions have been filled, We have opened up the option to donate a gift card to fulfill your club credit.  Remember that you are required to fulfill 1 club credit during the long course season.  If you chose to donate a gift card, it must be a $30 gift card to Wal-Mart and must have the authorization code receipt attached to receive credit.  Please mark your name on the gift card and place it in the payment box on the table in front of the ribbon room.

Volunteer shirts can be picked up on Wednesday, July 10th, Thursday, July 11th, and Monday, July 15th (or at the start of your shift). ~ Holly Argiris & Amanda Lavery
