12 & Under Stars and Stripes Meet Fireworks:  We are still currently planning on fireworks, weather permitting and we will communicate any changes as they are made.

From the Meet Coordinator: For my families that will be helping out at the meet, please allow plenty of time to arrive on time for your position.  Due to the limited parking, it may take longer than anticipated to get into the pool.  We want the meet to run on time and will need all of your help to make this happen.

If anybody is still looking for club credits, please contact me at meetcoordinator@cgacswim.org.  We could use some extra help blocking off and directing traffic for the fireworks.

As a Reminder: Due to construction in front of the Hall of Excellence, event parking for our Stars & Stripes meet tonight will be different.  We are asking our CGAC Families to park in the Academy East, Academy West, and West Football Lots but still enter the facility through Door 6.  We would like to save the South and Southwest Lots for our visiting teams.  Vendors will be located in the Hall of Excellence including My Logo Shop, iDesignables, Making Waves, The BubbleTea Lady, Son's Kettle Korn, and Ella's Frozen Yogurt.  Outside of Door 8 will be our food trucks Brozinni's Pizza and Johnson's BBQ, as well as access to the Skillman Stadium Grandstands for free fireworks viewing at the conclusion of the swim meet, approximately 9:45 pm.  Please stay and enjoy the food trucks and fireworks sponsored by our club!  We have designated the Northeast Lots, East Lot, and East Football Lots for Community Fireworks Parking which also provides them access to the Skillman Stadium Grandstands and food trucks! You are more than welcome to share this event with friends, family, and neighbors.

From the CGAC Board of Directors and Coordinators: We would like to welcome Amanda Bean to the Board.  Amanda will be serving as our Team Social Events Coordinator.

We would also like to thank Jane Bohley for your time, dedication and commitment  on the Board as our Concessions Coordinator.  The Concessions Coordinator position is now open.  If you would like to find out more about serving in this role, please contact Heather Trammell at president@cgacswim.org.

CGAC H.E.A.R.T. Swimmers of the Month - Congratulations to the following swimmers who were nominated by their Coach to receive the CGAC H.E.A.R.T. Award for demonstrating the core values of our club in and out of the pool.

Mooresville - Jill Ramsey

Senior - Garrett Crist

Pre-Senior  - Vincent Howe

Black - Brooke Trammell

Ongoing Updates & Reminders

Fitter and Faster is coming to Indianapolis for a Summer Swim Camp Series that includes four weekends of two-day swim camps PLUS a video filming and analysis day! This camp will take place at the iconic IUPUI Natatorium in August and September.

Each of the weekend camps will go into detail on one stroke with an Olympian that specializes in that stroke. Then, participants have the opportunity to sign up for the video analysis where they can have one or all 4 strokes analyzed by Olympic coach Todd Schmitz, who was MISSY FRANKLIN'S coach!

This would be a great opportunity to prepare for the short course season.

#CHASESTRONG: The Smith Family of Indian Creek are friends of the CGAC family.  Chase, their 17 year old son, is fighting cancer for the 4th time. Many of you have asked how you can help.  The Smiths will be traveling to Cleveland, Ohio every week for the next few months for treatment.  The CGAC Family will be preparing snack bags for them to take each time they travel.  How can you help?  There will be a box on the table (by the folder boxes) marked for ChaseStrong donations.  We will be collecting Visa gift cards to purchase these snacks.  Any gift cards that are left over will be presented to the Smiths for their travel expenses.   If you wish to donate, please deposit Visa gift cards in that box at any time.  If you have any questions, please contact Michele De Luna, michele@inswimming.org.  Thank you on behalf of the Smith family and the CGAC family for your support.
