New Info

From Coach Amy:

Happy Tuesday CGAC families! Here are the things that you need to know for this week:

1.) IHSAA Girls HS Sectionals and State: Congratulations to all of the CGAC swimmers who represented their respective high schools at this past weekend's IHSAA Girls Speedo Sectionals this past weekend! The CGHS 200 Medley Relay of DeLuna, Stiles, Trammell and Smith and the 400 Free Relay of Smith, Marsh, DeLuna and Trammell have qualified for the IHSAA State swim meet held this Friday and Saturday at the IUPUI Natatorium!

2.) ACST Meet (Black and Pre-Senior Teams): The final entry was sent out last week. Again, this meet will be ran in a prelim/final format. Please let your swimmer's coach know if they will be unable to participate in finals prior to the start of the meet, so that no penalties are assessed. Shirt colors for the weekend will be Friday: Black, Saturday: Red, Sunday: White or gray.

3.) PIKE Developmental (White and Red Teams): The initial entry was submitted and accepted by the host team. The entry was sent out Monday for parent review. Please let me know of any changes/corrections that need to be made by 12pm Wednesday 2/12.

4.) Championship Meets: I will begin sending out emails to families of swimmers who have qualified thus far for Divisionals, Age Group State, Senior State and Speedo Sectionals over the next 2 weeks. The registration process for these meets is different than non-Championship meet. I will send out an email letting you and your swimmer know that they have qualified for the meet. As part of that email, I will have a date listed by which I will need to know if your swimmer will NOT be attending the meet. If I do not get a "Not participating" response, it will be assumed that your swimmer will participate in the meet(s), and you will be responsible for their meet fees.

5.) End of season: As we head into end of season and championship season, practices will begin winding down. The last meet for White team swimmers will be the Pike 14&Under developmental meet on Feb. 19th, and their last practice will be on February 20th. The last meet for Red Team, Black Team and Pre-Senior swimmers who have not met championship time standards will be the ICAC Beach Party Finale on March 1, with their last day of practice will be on February 29th. Championship qualifiers will continue to practice through the highest meet that they have qualified for! Parents will receive an initial email letting them know if their child has qualified for a Championship meet so far this season after the Super Bowl Splash (Divisionals, Age Group State, Senior State).

6.) Practice Reminders CG site: There will be NO PRACTICES on the following dates due to Home Middle School meets:

February 13h

February 19th

February 25th

Red Team: Will have make up practices on February 12th and 26th from 5:00-6:30pm. There will be one practice for each of those nights.

7.) ICAC Beach Party Finale & Timed Trials:  The RSVP registration deadline is February 15th. One day only meet on Sunday, March 1st.

Please see your swimmer's coach if you have any questions.

Thank you and see you at the pool!

Coach Amy

From the Meet Coordinator - If you still have your volunteer shirts, please wash and return them to the tote outside of the ribbon room.  Also, please make sure to find your name on the sign-out sheet and initial when returning the shirts.

Club credits have been updated.  However, due to issues with the website (duplicate entries and credits are being assigned), Amanda and I will have to manually review all accounts for accuracy.  I will let you know when this is done. In the meantime, you can log in and look at your history.  Please remember that 1 credit is given for each shift worked, so if it shows a duplicate entry, that will be manually zeroed out.

If you have not donated a gift card this year, you may donate one $30 Wal-Mart gift card. Per club policy, you can only donate 1 card per year, not per season.  You must include the activation slip and write your name on the gift card to receive credit.

If you are still in need of credits, please reach out to Amanda or myself at  Upcoming opportunities include Rock the Block (April 24th for packet pickup and April 25th for race day support) and a TYR Meet that the club will be supporting. The TYR Pro Swim Series Counsilman Classic meet is May 6th - 9th. More information will be available soon. ~ Thanks! Holly Argiris

Rock the Block Run: Have you signed up to participate in RTB yet? CGAC needs people to begin registering NOW so we make the minimum number of participants by February 28th. We also need to have 5 volunteers registered by Feb. 28th to receive funding. Volunteering is needed on April 24 for packet pick-up and April 25th for race day support. Holly will honor a club credit for these slots.  You can  sign up to walk/run/sleep-in the 5K/10K/Kids Run on April 25th at 8:30am at CGHS. Register at for Early Registration pricing.  Don’t forget to select Center Grove Aquatic Club as the charity you are supporting!  The more people we have sign-up, the more likely our club will win BIG money!!!  The non-profit groups with the most participants win grant money.
