New Info

From Coach Amy:

Happy Tuesday CGAC families! Here are the things that you need to know for the week of 3/9/2020:

1.) 2020 Divisional Championships: Congratulations to all 74 CGAC swimmers who competed in the 2020 Divisional Championships!  Our swimmers earned new state cuts, best times and several trips to the podium! New state times were achieved by Kiersten Smith, Connor Conkin, Lara Phipps, Max Hite, Vincent Howe, Grace Clarkston, Evan Hernandez, Logan Dales, Tenley Wilkins and Anthony Cuadros - We are very proud of all of our swimmers who competed this weekend. Great job!

2.) Senior State: The final entry has been submitted and sent out. Good luck this weekend to our Senior State Swimmers!

3.) Age Group State: Initial entries will be sent out tonight! Please review and let me know of any corrections/changes by 8pm Friday 3/13.

4.) Practices (CG Site):  At this time, the only swimmers who should still be practicing are those swimmers who have achieved State (Senior or Age Group) time standards or higher, including relay swimmers and alternates.

● CG Middle School swimmers who are on the Black or PreSenior Teams may also continue to practice.

5a.) Long Course Season: Long course season will begin on Monday, April 13th, practice times will remain the same for the remainder of the school year as they were for short course season. Emails will be sent out the week prior to the start of the season with further details and group information if your swimmer will be changing groups.

5b.) Current 8th Grade Club Swimmers: All current 8th grade swimmers will be moved up to the Senior Team for the 2020 Long Course season beginning April 13th. This way, they can be introduced to the dryland/weight training and practice schedule prior to starting high school. Morning practices run Monday-Friday 6-7am (we allow them to get out early to get ready), Afternoon practices run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 3-5pm, and Saturdays 7am-9am. An email has been sent out with more details.

6.) Online Registration for Long Course Season: Online registration will open Wednesday April 8th for NEW MEMBERS TO CGAC ONLY.  If you have friends, neighbors, or families interested in joining CGAC, please let them know that we will hold new swimmer evaluations on April 8&9 from 5:30pm-7:00pm. After they try out and are assigned a training group, they can register online on our website.

Returning swimmers do NOT need to re-register. ALL current club swimmers are assumed to be participating in the Long Course season (April-August) unless you email Erin Graybeal at

7.) Swim Lessons: Dates and registration information for our Spring Swim Lessons is now posted on the team website. Currently, the lessons are full, but the waitlist is now OPEN.

Please see your swimmer's coach if you have any questions.

Thank you and see you at the pool!
