Open for New Members

11/21/22 - 12/23/22

Welcome to Donner Swim Club! Join us as we celebrate our 75th year of existence!

After having a very successful Pre-Team Fall Session of swimmiing, we are glad to announce registration for the Pre-Team Winter Session December 2022 - March 2023 for swimmers ages 5-8. Pre-Team swimmers must be able to swim front crawl (freestyle) and at least float or do some sort of backstroke. They will be taught butterfly, breaststroke, and backstroke and will be expected to participate in one meet per month.

If you are new to Donner Swim Club, your swimmer must be evaluated to determine skill level placement within the group. Try-outs (evaluations) will be announced in the near future, so be sure to check the website to schedule a time to be evaluated.

Following the try-out/evaluation process, you must register your swimmer through the Donner Swim Club website.

Registration must be completed before your swimmer can participate in any of the practices.

The length of Pre-Team Winter Session will be during the months of December, January, February, and will end on March 31st, 2023. Practices will begin on December 19th, 2022.  At this time, the scheduled practice days are Tuesday and Thursday from 5:15-6:15, and Saturday from 10:00-10:45. Yet, look at the schedule on the website to confirm practice days and times during the weekfor they may change due to scheduling conflicts.

Cost for this session will be a one-time payment of $300, due at the time of registration. If you are new to swim for the Winter Session, an additional $15 expense will be assessed at a later time for a Donner Swim Club T-shirt and swim cap.

ADDITIONALLY, when registering your swimmer on the Donner Team Unify website, be sure to provide up-to-date information, especially your contact information. Parents are the account holders and your swimmers are identified as the member. Second, you must have a valid credit card as a card of record for registration and billing. Please DO NOT use a debit card for Donner Swim Club is not responsible for bank overdraft charges if there are insufficient funds in your account. This card will be invoiced,  if necessary for any additional costs that may occur, such as for meet entry fees or pool rental fees.

NEW THIS YEAR: You must also register your swimmer separately on the USA SWIMMING website for a USA Swimming Membership. This membership is required for all club swimmers for liability purposes to protect your swimmer and must be completed in order to participate. NOTEIf you have a returning swimmer, you do not need to register your swimmer. For parents of new swimmersregistration is required and is fairly simple - the link needed to access and the step-by-step instructions are found on our website. Be sure to pay attention to the specific USA Swimming membership for which to apply. If you have questions about this process, please contact head coach Mike Cunningham at the following email address: [email protected]

One last very important detail regarding participating in swim meets – Indiana Swimming requires a copy of the swimmer’s birth certificate to verify the swimmer’s information as it was listed during the registration process. If you are new to Donner Swim Club or are a returning member and have not previously supplied a copy of the birth certificate, please bring a copy to the pool as soon as possible and give it to a member of the coaching staff, preferably before the end of the second week of practice. Understand, this is a requirement imposed by Indiana Swimming and the copies will be destroyed once submitted to protect the identity of each swimmer.

We appreciate your interest in joining Donner Swim Club and thank you for your participation.
