Franklin Regional Swim Team Lessons

Learn to Swim with the FRST Swim School!

Our mission for our swim lessons program is quite simple. We?re here to TEACH children HOW TO SWIM and BE SAFE around the water. Our professionally trained instructors pride themselves on providing quality lessons that are fun and rewarding so that children learn to love and respect the water as much as we do at FRST. Students in our programs will progressively learn a variety of skills that will allow them to be safe and comfortable in any aquatic environment.

Our swim lessons program is better than ever! We are happy to announce that we have undergone some change in curriculum and are moving towards the most effective teaching you will find in the Southside area of Indy. Below you will find important information pertaining to our group swim lessons program.

Otherwise, all registration will be completed online. Evaluations for each cycle will be held during the first two lessons.  Swimmers should be prepared to get in the water during the first lesson date.

During this point, each child will be placed in the appropriate group to both encourage their grown and meet their needs.

What is Swim School? (Briefly)

FRST's learn to swim program is an opportunity for young children (4-14 years of age) to be introduced to the world of swimming, by being taught the basic fundamentals of swimming (ie. stroke development, treading water, floating etc).

Water safety is our number one priority for each child. Additionally,  it is our expectation that each kid will develop the skills necessary to participate in a competitive swim group by the end of their FRST Swim School experience,  if that?s desire in the future.

How does Swim School Operate?

  • This Fall, our learn-to-swim program is broken into cycles, each consisting of 3 weeks of 30 minute swim lessons 3 days per week.
  • During each cycle, swimmers will be taught lessons appropriate for their selected group.
  • At the completion of, or during each cycle, swimmers will be evaluated to see if they may advance to the next group for the following cycle or if they are ready for graduation!

What are the costs of FRST Swim School?

Cost (see the below costs per athlete) to be paid before cycle via our online registration.

1 cycle for 1 athlete (Age 4-10):    $100 for 9 lessons over 3 weeks.

* Fees will not be pro-rated for late registrants
