LCA News (Week 2)

Sep 10, 2018

As we enter our second week of practice I couldn't be more excited!  We have lot's of familiar faces as well as many new faces in the pool.  It's exciting to see swimmers making new friends and learning the ropes.  With our last session of swim lessons wrapping up the pool is very busy!  Here are this week's updates:

1)  Schedule - As always double check the calendar on the website.  Here are some things to note:

Diamond Group - We will begin at 3:15 and end at 5:15 Monday, Wednesday and Friday.  (3:30 to 6:00 Tuesday  & Thursday.

Blue Group - 6:30 to 8:00 Monday and Friday.  6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday and Thursday.

White Group - 6:30 to 8:00 Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday

Red Group - 5:30 to 6:30 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday

Minnows - 4:45 to 5:30 Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

***There will be no Saturday practice for Diamond/Blue this week.

2)  Registration - First, thank you to everyone.  Overall the new online registration process has been reletively painless.  As always there are some loose ends to tidy up.  Most of this involves USA memberships.  If you have not yet registered online please do so ASAP.

3)  Birth Certificates - If you are new to LCA please make sure to get me a copy, scan or picture of your swimmer's birth certificate.  You can bring a copy to the pool or take a scan/picture and email it to lawrencecountyaquatics@gmail.com.  You can bring an original to the pool and we can make a copy or take a picture.

4)  Cash in mailbox - We would like to encourage everyone to avoid paying with cash.  With the recent addition of credit card payment options as well as the soon to come ACH option and already existing check option we would like to move away from handling cash or having cash in payment boxes.

5)  Intrasquad Meet (September 29th)- Please be sure to commit to attending this if you plan to do so.  The cost for this meet will be $14 per swimmer for up to 4 events.  There is no cost for relays.  The format will be girls vs. boys.  Warm ups will begin at 8:00 and the meet will begin at 9:00.  If you are new or newer and have questions about meets, how to sign up etc. please let me know.

6)  SSC SwimFest Meet (October 6 & 7)  - We have a meet letter which is posted on the events page.  Please commit to this if you plan to attend.  It will be at Hamilton Southeastern High School in Fishers.  It is a 2 day meet (Saturday/Sunday).  When you commit to this or any meet please use the "note" feature to indicate days you plan to attend.  Otherwise I will assume that you are competing on all days of the meet.

7)  Spring Mill Shindig (October 20th) - We have reserved the Red Cross Shelter at Spring Mill State Park.  There will be hayrides, cookout, pitch in dinner, games, fellowship and fun.  We will be asking you to commit to this just like a meet so that we can have a projection for numbers.

8)  LCA Gear - If you are interested in LCA gear we have our vendors listed on the website.  You can order team suits, outerwear and equipment.

9)  October Fees - If you chose the Season Committment Monthly Pay option you must have your monthly fees in by the 1st in order to receive the discounted rate for that month.  For example, October fees need to be in by the 1st of October or a $15 fee will be assessed to your account.

Have a great week!
