Organization Leadership

FISH Aquatics is a coach-driven, board supported swim team serving the Greater Lafayette Area.

Our mission and vision are set by our Head Coach and Head Age Group Coach who lead our program on a daily basis. This is then supported by our Board of Directors through close collaboration with our Head Coaches to support them as necessary on the "wet-side" while leading the team on the "Dry-side" or the behind the scenes work.

With the mission and vision established, our exceptional coaching staff puts this into practice on a daily basis led by the Head Coaches when working with our athletes, parents, families and supporters. Our mission and vision are athlete-centered and drives everything that we do. Our vision and mission are achieved through our athletes and supported by our amazing parents and community partners.  This is achieved through a rotating triangle of support and leadership between coaches, athletes, and parents as shown below:

Organization Structure

FISH Aquatics offers training and practice groups for swimmers of all ages and ability levels. It is the goal of FISH to offer age specific training for all of our athletes geared towards challenging each individual and developing each individual to the best of their abilities.

Organization Membership

FISH Aquatics is a registered USA Swimming club. We are a member of the Indiana Swimming which is one of 59 Local Swim Committees (LSC) that makes up USA Swimming. Indiana Swimming is responsible for local meets and events within its geographic areas such as the championship series of Divisiaonals and State Meets. As part of the Indiana Swimming LSC, we are also a member of the Central Zone which is one of the four zones within USA Swimming. The Central Zone consists of 15 LSCs primarily in the midwest section of the country. The Central Zone provides competitive opportunities for the region such as the 14  & Under Zone Championship Meet, Speedo Sectionals, and Zone Select Camps. These meets/camps are a step beyond our LSC Championship meets. The Central Zone is then a part of USA Swimming which is responsible for all national level events such as the Futures Championships, Junior and Senior Nationals, Olympic Trials and Zone Select Camps. These meets and camps continue the progression and are more prestigious and faster than those below them.
