Age Group Coach

MTV Swim Team is looking for a qualified candidate to serve as Age Group Coach to build off the deep traditions of excellence that Mount Vernon Swimming has been known for.
Located in the southwest corner of Indiana, Mount Vernon has one of the finest facilities in the area, has a supportive swim community, and has a deep tradition of producing state champions, record holders, and top 10 team placings. Mt. Vernon is located just 15 miles west of Evansville and two universities (USI/UE). It is a short drive from St. Louis, Nashville, Indianapolis, Louisville and more.
MTV Swim Team was formed in 1991 to serve as a developmental feeder program for the Mt. Vernon High School competitive swimming teams. Our community is “ALL IN” to support athletics and the development of our student athletes and youth. MTV swimmers are encouraged to develop and understand the value of perseverance and sportsmanship within an environment that provides both competitiveness and physical development.
The Mt. Vernon Swim Team is a non-profit club, aligned by the Aquatic Director and run by an elected Board of Directors.
Job Requirements:
- USA Swim Coaching Certified or ability to certify
- Experience in competitive swimming at multiple levels of involvement
- Evidence of positive relationships with swimmers and parents
- Ability to design and implement a season plan to develop swimmers’ fundamentals
- Knowledge of Team & Meet Management, Omnisport, Daktronis, or ability to learn
- Strong communication skills and evidence of parent outreach abilities
- Ability to manage swim related social media, website, and technology
- Ability to travel as needed to support the club
Salary: Hourly-negotiable around experience with the possibilty of a salary postion if qualified to become the head coach and ability to grow the membership base
