If you see Jordyn Glassley, Maris Williams, Kate Fetters, James Hench or Coach Ciana Heaston today be sure to give them a huge CONGRATULATIONS and GOOD LUCK as they have been chosen to represent Team Indiana at this year’s Duel in the Pool. Tomorrow they will be taking a bus with the rest of Team Indiana and travel to Illinois to spend the weekend competing against the best swimmers from Illinois and The Gulf (Texas). Fort Wayne Swim Team placed 3rd at the IN Swimming Senior State Short Course Championship Meet last weekend! Behind only Fishers Swim Team and Zionsville Swim Club. It was a total TEAM EFFORT with lots of team depth. FORT had lots of awesome swims and many best times. FORT had two State Runner Ups: Owen Dankert in the 1000 yard Free and Adam McCurdy in the 200 yard IM. The next meet is the Speedo Central Zone Sectional Long Course Meet in Indy March 23-26.
The first weekend in January every year the Mid-States All Stars swim meet is held at the IU Natatorium in Indy. Attending this meet are the best swimmers from 6 different states competing against each other. Congratulations to one of our FORT swimmers-Owen Dankert- for qualifying for and swimming in the FINA World Cup Meet last week at the IU Natatorium in Indy. There were 62 countries in this meet from all over the world.
