BECOMING AN OFFICIAL
 
Want to get started as an official and help USA Swimming run consistent, high-quality, and technically correct competitions? 
View the resources/ links below to get started!
 
  1. Attend an Officials’ Clinic (stroke & turn training OR administrative OR both)

  2. Complete a Level 2 Background Check

  3. Complete Athlete Protection Training

  4. Complete Concussion Protocol Training

  5. Register with USA Swimming.  Please email [email protected] to request PCA's link to register.

  6. Complete on-deck sessions shadowing a certified official. Print your Official’s card from the USA Swimming website/ app to show at meets.

  7. Upon completion of your apprentice sessions, notify the Area Officials Rep so your designation changes from Apprentice (AP) to Certified (CE).

    1. PCA is in Area 3.
