Club Groups: 

 

Navy: Age 8 and under

Practices emphasizing fun and technique. This group is designed for those new to the sport. 1-hour practices. 

 

Gold: Elementary School age 9 and up

Practices emphasizing skills, technique, and fun. This group is for athletes that have a foundation in all 4 strokes and are ready to begin learning advanced skills. 90-minute practices. 

Gold Group is split into two subgroups: 

Gold 1: Gold group swimmers that have Divisional standard times or are preparing for Divisionals. 

Gold 2: Developmental swimmers. Still need to become proficient in all 4 strokes and swimming skills. 

 

Cubs: 11–14 year-olds (must be in Middle School or the summer before 6th Grade)

Practices emphasizing skills, technique, enjoyment, and achievement in practice and competition. 2-hour practices, dryland, and mornings. 

Cub Group is split into two subgroups: 

Cub 1: Cub Group swimmers that have Divisional standard times or are preparing for Divisionals. 

Cub 2: Developmental middle school swimmers. Still need to become proficient in all 4 strokes and swimming skills. 

 

Bruins: 14 and over (must be in High School or the summer before 9th Grade). 2-hour and 15 minute practices, dryland, and mornings. 

Practices emphasizing skills, technique, race strategies, and competition achievements. Athletes in this group are focusing on High School swimming performance as well as qualifying and scoring at Championship meets. Bruin athletes are expected to serve as role models and mentors to the younger athletes on the team.
