WTSC Fall Festival – Tonight is the night for the annual WTSC Fall Festival. We’re looking forward to seeing a big group at Eagle Forge Farm for a bonfire, food and hayrides for the kids. An informational email went out earlier today to all participating families. If you have questions about the Fall Festival, please speak with Coach Josh. Dress warm and see you tonight!

Chipotle Fundraiser – Thank you for your generous support of our HotBox fundraiser night in October. It was so successful that we decided to do it again in November, this time at Chipotle. On Wednesday, November 20 from 5-9pm, all in-store purchases at the 86th Street Chipotle location (1560 E 86th Street Suite C; Indianapolis, IN 46240) will see a 33% return to WTSC. Click HERE for a promotional flyer that you can show either in person or on your phone when placing your order or inform your cashier that you are there supporting WTSC. This promotion is good for in-store orders only so grab dinner before, during or after practice on November 20 and support our team. Thank you and GO WTSC!

PIKE Recap – WTSC swimmers had an impressive weekend of racing at the PIKE Fall Invitational. An updated Honor Roll is posted on the club website and at the pool. The following swimmers earned special shout outs for their accomplishments. The Honor Roll expanded at PIKE as Maddie Bumps, Michael Goetz, Dillon Horsley, Justin White and Keira White made their first Divisional cuts of the season and Lurilla Bereveskos made her first Senior State cut of the season in the 500 Freestyle. Dillon’s Divisional cuts (50 Freestyle; 100 Breaststroke) were the first of her career: Way to go Dillon! Chance Buckles (500 Freestyle; 200 Breaststroke; 200 IM), Claudia Buddenbaum (400 IM), Lauren Diercks (200 Breaststroke), Michael Goetz (100 Breaststroke) and Justin White (50 Backstroke) added to their Divisional lists with new cuts in their respective events. And WTSC swimmers brought home several blue ribbons, with the following swimmers touching the wall first in their events: Lurilla Bereveskos (500 Freestyle), Charlotte Buening (50 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke; 50 & 100 Breaststroke), Dane Hoopingarner (25 Freestyle; 25 Breaststroke; 25 Butterfly), Meggie McPherson (50 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke; 50 Butterfly) and Elaina Spicer (25 Freestyle). Check out the Honor Roll for these highlights and many more. Great job WTSC!

WTSC Holiday Champs – Things are ramping up for our showpiece event of the first semester, the WTSC Holiday Champs (November 22-24 @ North Central HS). This is a highly regarded meet and attracts fast swimmers from throughout the Midwest for our unique prelims/finals format. Our awesome volunteers are central to the great reputation of this meet, and we will need you once again to help us host another quality event. Job signups are now live for Holiday Champs so please visit the job signup on the meet page on our website and get your shifts filled early. We are also in need of a concessions coordinator for the weekend. Please speak with WTSC Business Manager Jennifer Buddenbaum if you would be interested in this position or if you have questions about your shifts. All WTSC swimmers in Whitecaps, Breakers, Crest, Tsunami and Senior have been pre-entered in this meet; today is the deadline to opt out of participation if you have conflicts. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about your swimmer(s) days of participation.

Crest Parent Meeting - There will be a Crest parent meeting in the pool classroom at 5:30pm on Wednesday, November 6. Please speak with Coach Tori if you have conflicts or questions.

Deck / Locker Room Reminders - This is a friendly reminder that parents are not allowed on deck during swim practice or in the locker rooms due to insurance reasons and according to Safe Sport policies. The WTSC coaches value our parental support and appreciate your time and commitment to the club. Coaches are available before and after practice and always via email to answer questions or talk but not during practice. Parents needing to assist younger swimmers in changing clothes are encouraged to use the single restrooms adjacent to the main locker rooms.
