Groundhog Invite – We are looking forward to another awesome hosted event in the new year, as WTSC will host the Groundhog Invite (January 31-February 2 @ NCHS) in a few short weeks. As with all hosted meets, all swimmers in Whitecaps, Breakers, Crest and Tsunami have been pre-entered in this event. If your swimmer(s) have conflicts or cannot participate please adjust their commitment by Friday, January 3. This meet is subject to the worker requirements described in your registration packet and we will once again need our outstanding parents and families to help us host another quality event. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about the meet and with WTSC Business Manager Jennifer Buddenbaum if you have questions about the worker requirements.

FAST Mudsock Invite – Our swimmers have been working hard over Christmas break and it will soon be time to put that work on display at our first meet of 2020, the FAST Mudsock Invite (January 17-19 @ Fishers HS). Draft entries are available online and posted at the pool for your review. This meet is a great opportunity to race against strong competition in a prelims/finals format after some impressive holiday training. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this event.

January Schedule – The January practice schedule is now available on the club website. All practices are subject to change based on weather or other circumstances. Any changes will be communicated ASAP as necessary.

Senior State Volunteers – Indiana Swimming is asking for help from its member clubs for the upcoming spring Senior State Championships (March 13-15 @ IUPUI Natatorium). WTSC has been asked to provide 5 timers for the Friday morning prelims session. One of these volunteers will also serve as our in-house coordinator for our volunteer timing effort. All timers should be 13 or older and be able to report to the Natatorium by 7:30am that day. Please contact Coach Josh if you are interested in timing and/or serving as our volunteer coordinator for this effort.

Congratulations – WTSC is proud of Emily Buening and Colin Parker who were recently selected as part of Team Indiana for the upcoming Mid-States Championships. This meet features similar all-star teams from Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin competing against each other over two days at the fastest pool in the world, the IUPUI Natatorium. We have no doubt that Colin and Emily will be key contributors to Team Indiana’s efforts to defend their Mid-States title next weekend. Congratulations and good luck to Colin and Emily and all their teammates.

Thank You – WTSC would like to thank all parents and family members who took advantage of the parent social at Taylor’s Pub. We hope you enjoyed the opportunity to socialize and relax away from the pool and know that we appreciate everything you do for the kids and our team. Thanks again and happy holidays!
