Divisionals – We are hours away from our first hosting opportunity in more than a year, as WTSC will provide the backdrop for a weekend of great racing at the CM Divisional Championships (March 5-7 @ North Central HS). Thank you to all WTSC parents and family members who have signed up to work shifts at this exciting event. You have received a great deal of information throughout the week about the meet but if you missed anything you can find all relevant meet info on the “2021 Divisional Championship” page on our website. And this is a friendly reminder that all swimmers and workers need to complete a one-time pre-meet COVID waiver and a daily COVID questionnaire; links to both items can be found on the meet page on our website. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about the meet and speak with WTSC Business Manager Jennifer Buddenbaum if you have last-minute questions about worker shifts. WTSC has a great reputation for hosting meets and that is because of our parents and families. Get ready for a great weekend and thank you again for your support of our team. GO WTSC!

Age Group Day Off – It has been a long time since we hosted a meet so we may have forgotten that it is our tradition to take a day off after a long weekend of hosting and racing. There will be no age group (Red & Black) practice on Monday, March 8. Age group swimmers and families should enjoy some downtime after a busy weekend. Seniors will have practice at the normal time on this date.

Intrasquad – WTSC will host the Last Chance Intrasquad at NC on Thursday, March 11. Warmups will be at 5:30pm with the meet starting at 6:15pm. This meet is appropriate for all WTSC swimmers and will serve two primary purposes: A last chance at Age Group State cuts and one last chance to race this season for swimmers not going on to one of the State meets. Event selection and a small job signup are now live on our website. Please speak with your group coach if you have questions about this event.

March Schedule – The March practice schedule has been updated to reflect the post-Divisional day off and intrasquad meet detailed above. As always, the use of any facility is dictated by current public health conditions and all times and dates are subject to change and/or cancellation. Please follow the document posted on the “Practice Schedule” tab of our website carefully.

Congratulations – High school season in Indiana concluded last weekend with the IHSAA Boys State Finals at IUPUI and our WTSC Senior boys were in the thick of the action. Representing North Central, Carsyn Christoffel, Brody Friend, Brooks Hillenbrand and Colin Parker finished seventh overall in the 200 Freestyle Relay and ninth in the 400 Freestyle Relay, in addition to several impressive individual performances. Congratulations to all WTSC Senior boys on a great high school season and get ready to keep up the fast swimming during the club Championship Season.
