No Practice – This is a friendly reminder that there will be no practice for any WTSC training groups tonight due to our fall barn party (see below). We are looking forward to a big crowd at the party tonight but wherever you are, enjoy your night off.


Barn Party – An informational email was sent yesterday to all WTSC families who signed up for tonight’s team barn party at Eagle Forge Farm. Please speak with Coach Josh if you have questions about this event.


PIKE Recap – Indiana Swimming recently announced that the 2020-21 State and Divisional cuts will be carried into the 2021-22 short course season. That means our PIKE meet recap will include our first Honor Roll of the season! WTSC swimmers turned in an outstanding performance at the PIKE Fall Invitational and an Honor Roll is posted at the pool. The following swimmers earned special shout outs for their performances at PIKE. First, welcome to WTSC to Ethan, Isabella, Owen and Noah Jaeger, who swam in their first meet as part of our team. Congratulations to Molly Memmer, who made the first Divisional cut of her career in the 50 Freestyle and to Carsyn Christoffel who made new Senior State cuts in the 100 Butterfly and 200 IM. Brody Friend (50 & 100 Freestyle) and Elaina Spicer (50 Freestyle) added their names to the Honor Roll with their first Senior State and Age Group State cuts of the season, respectively. And the following swimmers made new Divisional cuts on the weekend: Carsyn Christoffel (200 Butterfly), Corbin Christoffel (100 & 200 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke; 50 & 100 Breaststroke), Lauren Diercks (500 Freestyle), Ethan Jaeger (50 & 100 Freestyle), Owen Jaeger (50 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke), Sarah McPherson (200 Backstroke), Molly Memmer (50 Freestyle), Zander Moreno (100 & 200 Freestyle), Grady Mosby (50 Breaststroke; 50 Butterfly), Kayley Spicer (400 IM), Lily Wolfe (100 Backstroke) and Sam Wolfe (1650 Freestyle; 100 Backstroke; 200 Breaststroke). Finally, the following WTSC swimmers touched the wall first in their respective events: Carsyn Christoffel (100 & 200 Butterfly; 50 Breaststroke; 200 IM), Katie Countryman (50 Butterfly), Lauren Diercks (500 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke; 100 Butterfly), Brody Friend (50 & 100 Freestyle; 50 & 100 Backstroke; 400 IM), Molly Memmer (100 Freestyle), Elania Spicer (50 Freestyle; 50 Backstroke; 50 Breaststroke; 50 Butterfly), Annie Wolfe (50 Freestyle), Lily Wolfe (200 & 1650 Freestyle; 200 Backstroke; 200 Butterfly; 400 IM) and Sam Wolfe (500 & 1650 Freestyle). WTSC Holiday Champs – We are looking forward to hosting one of the premiere fall meets on the Indiana Swimming schedule, our own Holiday Champs Invitational (November 19-21 @ North Central HS). This meet offers a unique prelims/finals format for all ages featuring some of the best teams in the Midwest. A job signup for this event is now live on the meet page on our website. As a major, hosted event, this meet is subject to the worker requirements described in your registration information. Please visit the job signup to fill your shifts and help us uphold WTSC’s outstanding reputation as a meet host. Entries for this event are now closed and are posted at the pool and online for review. If you have questions about worker requirements or the job signup feature, please speak with WTSC Business Manager Julie Spicer. November Schedule – A November practice schedule has been posted to the “Practice Schedule” tab of our website. Times and dates are subject to change and the use of our facility is guided by information provided by the Marion County Health Department. Any changes to our published schedule will be communicated ASAP.


Full Team Friday Practices – Starting in November, we will use select Friday practices as opportunities for some focused work open to all members of the team. Our first Full Team Friday practice will be November 12. Swimmers in all WTSC training groups – Senior, Gold, Silver and Bronze – are welcome to attend practice from 6-7pm for some work on starts, turns, and finishes. Stay tuned for details about future Full Team Fridays and we hope to see a big crowd on November 12.
