Age Group State – Championship Season has been a smashing success for WTSC swimmers and the fast swimming continues this weekend with Age Group State (March 17-19 @ IUPUI Natatorium). This is the 14&Under state championship meet and one of the most exciting meets in the career of any age group swimmer. We cannot wait to see what our swimmers can do this weekend. If your swimmers are participating in Age Group State, please contact your group coach if you have questions about the meet. For everyone who would like to follow the action click HERE to visit the meet website where you can find information about tickets, heat sheets and more. And click HERE to visit the Indiana Swimming YouTube channel for the live webcast. Good luck swimmers and GO WTSC!

Senior State Recap – Our Senior swimmers turned in an outstanding performance over the weekend at Senior State. WTSC finished in 13th place overall, with the boys finishing 10th on their side of the meet and our girls finishing in 19th place. There were many highlights on the weekend but leading them all was a new club record set by Chance Buckles, Brody Friend, Colin Parker and Jack Steadham in the 200 Freestyle Relay (1:23.82). State meets are always opportunities for next level swims and we had several of those at Senior State with Brody Friend (200 IM), Colin Parker (200 IM) and Jack Steadham (100 Backstroke) making new Speedo Sectional cuts in their respective events. Swimming as bonus events, Sam Wolfe made new Senior State and Speedo Sectional cuts in the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. Katie Countryman made new Senior State cuts in the 100 & 200 Freestyle. And Sarah McPherson made a new Age Group State cut in the 200 IM. An updated Honor Roll will be posted at the pool and online after Age Group State but way to go swimmers on an impressive showing at Senior State.

Speedo Sectionals – Our final meet of the season will be Speedo Sectionals (March 23-26 @ IUPUI Natatorium). This meet is a regional championship meet with teams from throughout the Midwest swum in long course meters. Sectionals looks to be a fast weekend as swimmers seek out long course racing opportunities ahead of next summer’s Olympic Trials. We are excited to see our WTSC swimmers test their mettle against some elite competition. Entries for this event are closed and participating swimmers should speak with Coach Josh if they have questions about the meet.

End-of-Season Dates & Spring Start – The last practice of the short course season for Bronze, Silver and Gold swimmers will be Monday, March 20 and the last practice for Senior swimmers will be Wednesday, March 22. There will be a pool party for all WTSC swimmers and families on Tuesday, March 21 from 5:30-7:30pm. Bring your rafts, toys and swimsuits and celebrate our many accomplishments this season. After our pool party we will take a much-needed break, but another awesome season of WTSC swimming will begin on Monday, April 10. Additional information regarding our spring startup will be made available as we get closer to the date.
