Tigers Take 2nd at Age Group State!

FAST athletes competed at the 2019 Indiana Age Group State Championships on July 26-28, 2019. Racing at the IU Natatorium in downtown Indianapolis, your Tigers showed up to race as they took 2nd place at the Age Group State Championship!  Ready to race from the first heat, your FAST athletes fought for every second, competed well, and came together as a team! The work your athletes have put into the water this season was certainly evident as a staggering number of lifetime best swims were earned.

FAST athletes also had multiple podium finishes with our relays. Top 8 relay teams included the the 2nd place Boys 10 & Under 200 Medley (Tommy Mybeck, Austin Carlile, Dominic Henderson, and Alex Koo), the 3rd place Boys 10 & Under 200 Free (Austin Carlile, Tommy Mybeck, Hagen Lee, and Alex Koo), the 2nd place Girls 11-12 200 Medley (Addison Carlile, Frankie Ramey, Emma Schumacher, and Rachel Garcia), the 2nd place Girls 11-12 200 Free (Rachel Garcia, Addison Carlile, Mia Parker, and Emma Schumacher), the 4th place Boys 11-12 200 Medley (Hudson Lee, Victor Herbert, Eduardo Sanchez, and Tommy Johanneman), the 2nd place Boys 11-12 200 Free (Eduardo Sanchez, Victor Herbert, Tommy Johanneman, and Hudson Lee), the 3rd place Boys 13-14 200 Medley (Louis Henderson, Dan Bennett, Jude Bragdon, and Connor Carlile), the 2nd place Boys 13-14 400 Medley (Louis Henderson, Dan Bennett, Jude Bragdon, and Connor Carlile), the  3rd place Boys 13-14 200 Free (Louis Henderson, Dan Bennett, Keaton Chop, and Connor Carlile), and the 2nd place Boys 13-14 400 Free (Connor Carlile, Dan Bennett, Keaton Chop, and Louis Henderson).

And, there are a number of special shout outs from the meet. Congratulations to all the FAST State Champions, including Frankie Ramey in the 200 Breast; JoJo Ramey in the 200 Back, 400 Free, 800 Free, and 200 IM; and Emma Schumacher in the 200 Fly. JoJo Ramey earned the Girls 13-14 High Point Award! JoJo also achieved her 1st ever NATIONALS cut in the 200 Back, while breaking the Indiana Swimming meet record! Finally, the 10 & Under Boys took 3rd in High Point, while the 11-12 Girls and 13-14 Boys took 2nd place in High Point. Amazing job to all of our Tigers!

What a weekend! We are so proud of your athletes for the efforts they put into this past weekend's Age Group LCM State Championship. Our Tiger Values were on display by this group of athletes and the coaching staff is very proud of how they handled themselves all weekend. Thank you to all who contributed to this weekend's successes. Great job, Tigers!

It was indeed a great weekend of racing and we are excited to see what our athletes do as they race this coming weekend at both the Central Zones Championship and the Age Group Divisional Championship. We look forward to seeing what the future holds as you reach your goals… and set new ones!
