FAST Training Groups - Tiger Stripes
Tiger Stripes swimmers are part of the Learn to Practice division. These swimmers build on the fundamentals introduced in Tiger Cubs. Tiger Stripes swimmers continue to focus on stroke mechanics with advanced drills and efficiency techniques. Basic interval training and new skills are also introduced. To be placed in Tiger Stripes, swimmers must have achieved an acceptable IM Ready (IMR) score. The IM Ready scores are based on 100 Free, 50 Back, 50 Breast, 50 Fly, and 100 IM (SC) or 200 IM (LC). Training sessions are offered 5 times per week and 80% attendance will afford the opportunity for continued improvement.

The Fishers Area Swimming Tigers will compete in a number of meets throughout the long course season - both at home and away. Tigers Stripes Required Equipment
- Long fins - Tritan Swim Fins or TYR Flex Fin 2.0
- Snorkel - Speedo Jr Bullethead Snorkel or small MP Focus Snorkel
- Paddles - Strokemaker hand paddles size 0 or .5
- Mesh bag – Elsmore mesh bag
In addition to the above list, please make sure your athletes come to practice each day with a water bottle and wearing athletic shoes. Thank you!
Do you have tech suit question? Click here for the 12 and Under tech suit rules with a list of approved suits. Our supplier, Elsmore, is also very knowledgable about the subject and will be able to provide you with the correct racing suit for your Tiger.
