About the Hinsdale Swim Club 
 

The Hinsdale Swim Club is a competitive age group swimming program offering a program that is designed to address the needs of various levels of swimming ability from novice to the advanced swimmer.

Paramount to our success as an organization is our belief in and commitment to athlete protection. Safe guarding our athletes with clear protection policies as well as ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all of our athletes is an ongoing process and is the responsibility of every parent, athlete, coach, official, board member and volunteer associated with the Hinsdale Swim Club.

At the first organizational meeting in 1959, the purpose of the Hinsdale Swim Club was set forth in the mission statement: "To promote mutual understanding and cooperation among parents, coaches and swimmers for the improvement and progress of competitive swimming and to encourage and develop good sportsmanship, individual integrity and team play."

We are a year-round, competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our USA Swimming team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

We are a non-profit club, run by its elected Board of Directors which meets frequently. Our current Board of Directors' terms took effect on August 1, 2022 and will run for a two year term, expiring on July 31, 2024.  Our bylaws can be found here. All members are encouraged to be involved in team activities.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. Please feel free to ask another member or coach any question you may have.
