About the Hinsdale Swim Club

The Hinsdale Swim Club is a competitive age group swimming program offered primarily to residents of High School District 86 (Hinsdale Central and Hinsdale South), however, we do have capacity to accept swimmers who live outside this geographic area.  HSC offers a program that is designed to address the needs of various levels of swimming ability from novice to the advanced swimmer.

At the first organizational meeting in 1959, the purpose of the Hinsdale Swim Club was set forth in the mission statement: "To promote mutual understanding and cooperation among parents, coaches and swimmers for the improvement and progress of competitive swimming and to encourage and develop good sportsmanship, individual integrity and team play."

We are a year-round, competitive swim team offering high quality professional coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our USA Swimming team is to provide every member an opportunity to improve swimming skills and achieve success at his or her level of ability, from novice to international competitor.

All of our coaches, as members of the American Swim Coaches Association, have access to the most comprehensive training and certification program for youth coaches of any sport in the United States. They provide assurances that the time children spend in swimming will be quality time.

We are a non-profit club, run by its elected Board of Directors which meets each month. Our bylaws can be found here.  All members are welcome at each meeting and encouraged to be involved in team activities.

We are constantly growing and training young swimmers to maintain a well rounded competitive swim team. Please feel free to ask another member or coach any question you may have.
