CIA November 2020 Newsletter

Beth Tecklenburg, Secretary

Greeting, please find our November Newsletter link below.  It was exciting to be able to get in a few competitions this month.  We had swimmers compete in the Salute to Veterans meet, the US Open Meets and the Iowa High School Girls State Meet.

At the High School State Meet, CIA had 9 swimmers compete representing four high schools November 13th - 14th at the Marshalltown YMCA.  Leading the way, swimming for Johnston, Olivia Swalley took first place in the 100 Breaststroke (1:04.12) and 200 IM (2:04.73, 2:03.28 in consolations) as well as a first-place relay finish with CIA alumni Abby Rastetter in the 200 Medley Relay.  Other highlights were top 8 finishes by Nora Kemp representing Waukee in both the 100 (5th) and 200 (4th) Freestyle and Alexis Henning representing Ankeny in the 100 Backstroke (8th).  There were multiple other top 8 relay finishes and top 16 individual finishes, please see the attached Newsletter for the details.

We continue to operate in a very fluid environment; we appreciate your patience and support as we navigate through these challenging times.
