2021 IASI Senior State Champions

Jason Kemp

It was an extremely competitive Senior State meet this year! CIA has now won Senior State six years in a row and this year our ladies captured high point and the men finishing in 2nd place. A tip of the cap to IFly who were strong competitors with some very impressive performances. We would like to congratulate ALL the swimmers who competed over the last four days. A special shout-out to the nine swimmers who competed in Age Group State last week and all together scored over 180 points this week.

Also, a huge shout-out to all our wonderful parent, and swimmer volunteers which included Age Group parents and even parent and swimmer alumni!!! This was appreciated more than we can express and we LOVED seeing you!!! These swim meets are an opportunity for our club to raise funds and support CIA’s continued success. This was our first chance to host a state meet and by all accounts we rose to the challenge. We had some of our Senior and Age Group swimmers that covered everything from announcing, to timing, to DJ and everything in-between. THANK YOU!  #CIAFamily

The season is not over for senior and white swimmers. We will have 19 swimmers competing at Speedo Sectionals March 11-14th at the Wellmark YMCA. Senior and White swimmers who are not competing at Sectionals will be working on honing their skills in preparation for the long course season. Our coaching staff will continue doing everything they can to help our swimmers improve and accomplish their goals.

Finally, the CIA Board would like to thank all our incredible Senior swimmers who have made the best of the last 10 months and to their parents for your dedication and support! We hope all the swimmers and families enjoy the accomplishments and celebrate the great swims during this meet and we are excited for Sectionals and to get back at it for the long course season!
