Parent Volunteering Requirements
 
South Irvine Dolphins is a 100% volunteer organization. The success and culture of the team is directly correlated to the volunteer commitment and positive attitudes of our parents. It’s an opportunity to set an example for our kids, have fun, socialize with neighbors and make new friends!
 
Each family is required to volunteer for 6 jobs which can be a mixture of swim meet jobs and event jobs.

Your registration will not be approved until you've signed up for all of your volunteer jobs, so sign up early to get the shifts you want.
 
We recognize that plans change. If you are unable to come for your volunteer job, it is your responsibility to find a replacement. The best alternative may be trading shifts with a family scheduled to volunteer at another meet. Please let our volunteer coordinator know of any changes as soon as possible.
 
Each family is required to submit a $100 volunteer security deposit check. If you miss your volunteer shift, the check will be cashed. If you miss a second volunteer shift, your swimmer(s) may be removed from the team. If you fail to meet your volunteer obligations for the season, your swimmer(s) may not be able to return to the team next season. All uncashed checks will be shredded at the end of the season.
