Lawrence Swim School

The Lawrence Swim School is a Swim America program lead by an experienced certified Program Director Martha Koen. All of our instructors and teachers have specific training and certifications to teach in this program. Swim America is a unique program that helps children learn to swim in a way that prepares them for competitive swimming if they choose to continue. By signing up your child for swim lessons, you can help us reach our goal to teach every child in Lawrence Township School District and surrounding areas how to be  safe in and around the water.

IMPORTANT DETAILS

Welcome to the Lawrence Swim Team -  Swim School

A SwimAmerica program "Where Kids Love Learning to Swim"

The Lawrence Swim Team was founded in 1977 and is an affiliate of USA Swimming and Indiana Swimming.  The team was created to directly support the efforts of the MSD of Lawrence Township to provide continuing education in water safety and competitive swimming for its students and community.  But first, we must Learn To Swim!

The 4 Reasons SwimAmerica is a Trusted Brand in Learn to Swim:

#1 Learning to swim is not just an activity, it is an important life skill.

Not knowing how to swim is one of the major risk factors in drowning. Drowning is the 2nd leading cause of accidental death in children under 18 years old.

#2 SwimAmerica's success is a reflection of our professional approach to teaching swimming.

We are certified professional coaches who actively teach and coach.  We are "swimming pro's", just like tennis or golf pro's, we are the experts.

#3 We consistently produce great swimmers.

We use our own skill progressions for water safety skills and stroke development. Our primary goal is to have your child swimming 300 yards of freestyle confidently before completing the program.

#4 The Impact of Learning to Swim Well Will Last a Lifetime.

Our coaches have been teaching and coaching for years. We know how to make learning to swim easier. We are the pro’s at training children to be strong, confident swimmers.
