POSITIONS
The following positions report to the corresponding Board Member responsible for that area.

Piranhas Cafe Manager (Open)- Responsible for organizing the workings of the Café including working with the Café Chef to make the menu. Menus are dependent on ability, cost, and popularity of food/drink items. Some menu guidance is in place for nutrition and historical sales success/failures. Café Organizer will set up lists for the Buyer for food needed to be purchased, safely stored, prepared, and distributed at time of sale. Leftover food/drink items will need to be evaluated for carry-over or as waste. Profit and loss will need to be added up and documented at end of each swim meet/event. After meet, Café Organizer will work with Café Manager to figure out what changes need to be made to the Chefs and Buyers list before the next meet. Reports directly to Board Treasurer.
Manages the café, supervises set up properly, and makes sure all workers show up for their shifts and know what is expected of them. Cafe Manager also supervises parent volunteers working café and grill, including safe food handling practices and basic counting/subtraction for sales. Purchases, costs, and sales are to be documented, along with opposing team names and the weather for historical sales purposes. Available equipment includes hot water dispensers, crockpots, microwave, oven, and sno-cone machine. Profit and loss will need to be added up and documented at end of each swim meet/event. Manager then works with Café Organizer to figure out what changes need to be made to the Chef and Buyer lists before the next meet based on leftover food, not enough food, etc. Reports directly to the Board Treasurer. Piranhas Cafe Buyer (Katie Cramer) - Café Buyer will be given a list of foods to buy for each meet. Buyer is expected to try to buy good quality for a competitive price and store any items bought. Buyer will continue to store items that need storage between meets such as leftover gatorades, sodas, etc. Buyer will deliver food and drinks to the café prior to the meet, either Friday evening or Saturday morning. Buyer will order and pick up any items needing ordering or pickup on the morning of the meets. For example, buyer might call Cielo coffee on Wednesday to order 2 carafes of coffee to be picked up on Saturday morning. Buyer will then pick up the coffee on Saturday morning and deliver to the pool. Buyer will be given a list of items to order, pick up and bring to the café on the morning of the meet. Buyer will be responsible for returning any carafes, etc that were borrowed from restaurants after the meet is over. Depending on the menu, buyer might also be asked to order and pick up food during half time to sell for lunch such as Tacos N Co. or another nearby restaurant. (Full season job)
Team Apparel Coordinator (open) – Responsible for the purchase, storage, sales and distribution of team apparel, swimsuits, caps, and specialty items. Purchase includes researching and negotiating apparel and prices, including sponsorship tee-shirts (or other item) for swimmers and coaches' shirts. Keep detailed records of sales and stock on hand. Team Sponsorship Coordinator (Julia Kern)– Responsible for acquiring donations from corporations and small businesses as cash and/or in-kind product donations to further the financial solvency (operations, coaches fees, ribbons, trophies) and purchase of needed equipment and supplies for the swim team. The goal for the team is $3,000 in sponsorships. Reports directly to the Board Treasurer. (Full Season Job)
Fundraising Coordinator (Open)– Responsible for executing and marketing the fundraising events like the Piranhathon, dine in at the pool and dine-out fund raising events to swim families . The goal is to help defer costs of team activities and equipment. The goal for the team is $3,000 in raised funds. Reports directly to the Board Treasurer. (Full Season Job)

Team Reporter (N/A) – Receives swimmer statistics on day of meet from team statistician and writes articles for Facebook and team website. Updates website with current statistics. Reports directly to the Board Statistician. (Full season job)
Champs Representative (Maria Changsek) – Responsible for representing the team at all ISL meetings related to the Championships. Informs the Board of Campsite location, Champs details, and team assignments. Oversees volunteers and coordinates team position. Coordinates with families of Champs registered swimmers to donate items for snack bar buffet for swimmers at Champs event. Reports directly to the Board President. (4 Points)
Facilities Manager (open)– Responsible for setting-up and tearing-down of home meets with volunteers. Responsible for transporting and overseeing all equipment (tents & tables) for away swim meets. Reports directly to the Board Volunteer Coordinator. (Full season job)
Gate Manager June(N/A) – Responsible for setting up Gate Monitor station at entry to Pool, including table, sign-in binder and other information to be distributed to the team at sign-in. Coordinates as necessary with the Association Front Desk. Must arrive at pool by 3:00 pm, and stay until Gate Monitor for that day arrives (3:30 shift). Reports directly to Board Volunteer Coordinator. (Full season job)

Back up Official (Collin Webster)– Responsible for taking Training for 2022 Season, shadowing Meet Official for one 2022 season home meet, and prepared to step in as meet official if required. Reports Directly to Team Statistician. (1 point for meeting, 2 pts for shadowing a full meet and 2 points for officiating a whole meet in lead official is unavailable)
Ready Bench Coordinator (Open) – Responsible for coordinating ready bench volunteers and herders at all swim meets. Reports directly to Team Statistician. (Full season job)
Ribbon Writer (Tanya San Miguel)– Responsible for matching ribbons to swimmer name and swim time results. Filing is performed Saturday/Sunday, following each meet. Reports directly to Team Statistician. (Full season job)
Sorter (Wendy Liu)– Responsible for sorting swimmers cards by time for data entry, sorting and updating DQ information at the head table. Commitment includes one half of each swim meet. Reports directly to Team Statistician. (Full season job)
Announcer/DJ (Jeff Young)- Responsible for announcing current race and upcoming numbers that need to report to the Ready Bench. Announces Piranhas Cafe menu and when available. Plays the national anthem and music at the meet. Reports directly to Board Volunteer Coordinator. (Full season job)
Starter (open) - Starts each event with the announcement of the age and stroke and the words "SWIMMERS TAKE YOUR MARK", pauses to make sure that all swimmers are motionless, and then gives an electronic sound or a blast of a whistle. This position requires training.
Teriyaki Chicken Prep (N/A)- Prepare chicken teriyaki for the Piranha Cafe. (Full season job)

Lead timer (Open)- Timing is one of the most critical aspects of the meets. Responsible for making sure we have the required timers in each lane and one back up timer. The lead timer will also operate as back up timer. Must use stopwatch. (Full Season job)
Lead runner (open)- responsible for coordinating runners at home meets and making sure they understand the requirements of the job. Lead runner also operates as a back up runner, covering for runners if needed. (Full season job)
Meet manager (Jana Kiemm)- responsible for helping President to make sure meet is running smoothly and all volunteers and positions are taken care of, including set up and tear down. Must be ready to help problem solve as issues come up. Must be ready to step in or help find replacements for any position that needs help. Reports directly to President. (Full season job)
