PHILOSOPHY

We believe that swimming can be both fun and competitive at the same time. Our dedicated staff works together toward one common goal - success for every individual participant at every level. We put an emphasis on technique, mental preparedness and a love for racing, so swimmers have an understanding of what makes them efficient and fast in the water. The foundation of our team produces strong, confident, and well-rounded athletes that are sure to make life-long memories in and out of the pool. As a team that values diversity, inclusivity and equity, we strive to create a space where our community members feel safe and supported and successful through transparent communication, relationship building and trust.

TEAM HISTORY

Established in 1989, NASA Wildcat Aquatics has grown from a handful of swimmers in an age group program to over 200 swimmers in programs which include developmental, age group and high school swimming. The team was originally known as the Northwestern Aquatic Swim Association (NASA). In 2001, NASA recognized the need to extend the program for high school and college swimmers in their off-seasons. As a result, Wildcat Aquatics was founded and the team name's were combined to NASA Wildcat Aquatics (WILD).

NASA Wildcat Aquatics attracts numerous swimmers of all abilities. WILD athletes have represented the team at Illinois Age Group Championships, Illinois Senior State Championship, Sectional Championship, Junior National and US Open competitions. We continue to be one of the top teams in Illinois and in the nation. As a Silver level team, we are consistently ranked in the top 100 teams in the US. and we hold a level 4 Club Team Recognition by USA Swimming for athlete development and performance.
