I trust you all had a great fall break! We'll spend the first part of this week getting everyone back on the same page while the second half of the week will focus on goal setting. I've asked the swimmers to brush up on knowing their best SCY times; please follow up on that at home with a few minutes of swimming homework so we can have productive and efficient goal setting sessions at the pool. Heads up this week we start adding Saturday AM practices. An extra heads up on the meet sign up deadline below!

Monday- 4:30 to 6:05PM

Tuesday- 5:30 to 6:45AM and 4:30 to 6:05PM

Wednesday- 4:30 to 6:05PM

Thursday- 4:30 to 6:05PM

Friday- 5:30 to 6:45AM

Saturday- 9 to 10:30AM-- HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

SSC/Carmel Dual 

This meet will be a great opportunity for racing but it's going to be a little crazy for the Bluefin group. Earlier tonight I sent out a meet specific email- catch up on that here. 11-12 age group at Carmel all weekend while 13-14 will be at Carmel on Friday PM and back at HSE for Saturday and Sunday! Coach Ben will be handling the 11-12 Bluefins at Carmel while I'll be staying at HSE for the weekend working with all the 13 & overs. For either age group, you must sign up Wednesday 5PM!

Extra Work

I still want to emphasize the importance of getting the dynamic warm up at home if you have any spare time before departing for practice. Review our at-home dryland program below.

  1. Dynamic Warm Up at home is always a good idea before heading to practice.
  2. Main focus is always the practice at HSE. Parents & Swimmers, you should never opt to replace practice at HSE with the Supplemental workout.
  3. You could use the Supplemental as an EXTRA workout if you are motivated. Or if you are quarantined at home, you should fully adopt a WU/Supplemental/Post Workout routine as long as you are healthy!
