Bluefin News June 19

Last week was our hardest week of training of the season by a good margin, preparing for the challenges of a very competitive outdoor travel meet. As we lead up to our departure date, we'll be spending nearly as much time preparing mentally as physically at practice. This includes goal setting for the meet, meet planning, and all the helpful hints for an outdoor meet. I want to stress a few important facts; 1) though weather conditions will likely be far from ideal, this is the summer standard and even at an international level, you still see VERY fast outdoor meets, 2) the overall mission is about overcoming obstacles and mental toughness, 3) team bonding and fun are HUGE at these meets. Embrace all of these and you'll have an enjoyable and productive weekend.  If you are chasing cuts, please suit-up! Details will be sent out Wednesday or Thursday.
