What a wonderful day as we honor and remember those that have given the greatest service to our country.  Stay safe and healthy out there!  Coach Flo has emailed me to blast out the GO SWIM information, which is at the bottom….it’s still FREE.  Illinois Swimming has a new Olympic athlete to talk to us this Tuesday, Ben Kanute.  Enjoy!

Note from Illinois Swimming:

We are excited to host a weekly Q&A with former Illinois Swimming athletes as we discuss their passion for the sport, their roadblocks, successes, and more. This zoom meeting is open to ALL ILLINOIS SWIMMING MEMBERS to join.

This week's guest will be 2016 Olympian in Triathlon Ben Kanute. Ben was a swimmer on St. Charles Swim Team throughout the years and competed in High School for Marmion Academy. We are very excited tro hear about his journey from the pool to triathlon and a member of Team USA in Rio.

One of the jobs I’ve been working on the last few weeks is to get our team recognized as a SAFE SPORT certified team.  I have done everything I can do to get the certificate, so now I am asking you for help!  I need more of BOTH swimmers and parents to take the SAFE SPORT training.  The link is below.  We need a minimum of 10% of the team to do this, so this will be posted regularly until completed.  (We are at 3% for parents and 4% for swimmers)  THANK YOU for helping make our team even better!
