     Courses offered:

  1. Safe Sport for Athletes  

    • This course is designed for athletes 12-17 years old and will cover:

      • The basics of Safe Sport,

      • Understanding the three types of boundaries, and

      • What to do if you or someone you know is being harmed.

    • Parents and coaches can use the facilitation guide in the course to open up a conversation about Safe Sport and healthy boundaries. ​​​

      To start the course:

      • ​Go to USA Swimming Learn: https://www.usaswimming.org/resource-center/usa-learn-member-portal

      • Scroll down to "Start the Process" and enter your (swimmer's) name and birthday

      • Click "Search" then click "Continue" next to your name

      • Select the "Courses" tab at the top 

      • Click "Add Courses" in the light blue box labeled "SafeSport Recognized Club Program Courses"

      • Go to your "Dashboard" tab at the top

      • Start the "Safe Sport for Athletes" course

  2. Parent's Guide to Misconduct in Sport  (register here)

    • Parents are a critical component to our overall goal of protecting children from sexual abuse. The comprehensive online programming includes information about how offenders operate; how to recognize and respond to boundary violations, myths and facts about child sexual abuse and USA Swimming’s Athlete Protection Policies and Procedures.

  3. Prevent Bullying

    • ​​This course will teach you the definition of bullying, how it shows up in the swimming environment, and ways you can maintain a healthy and positive environment on the pool deck.
