When are tryouts & evaluations?​ 

Thank you to all the swimmers and parents that came to tryout for KING this past year. We look forward to all our new swim team members. Welcome to KING!

Tryout dates will soon be announced. As we navigate through Covid-19 swim restrictions, please be patient. We will have dates for new swimmers considering a tryout with KING shortly.

What to wear?

Swimmers must come to the evaluation session ready to swim. This includes:

  • Proper swim training attire. Baggy shorts or ’beach wear’ are not acceptable. Call or email if you are unsure what this means.
  • Goggles and a swim cap if the child needs one.

Why does my swimmer need to be evaluated?

Before any new swimmers can join the KING, they will need to be evaluated. The evaluation (water test) is used by the coaches to determine the ability level of the applicant and which training group they would be best suited.

What to expect?

Evaluations will determine if the child is ready for organized competitive swim training. They are comprehensive and can be physically taxing. All activities are age appropriate and simulate what athletes will experience during normal practice sessions and meets.
