Ice Skating Party

The photos are from last Saturday's skate party, which drew about 25 intrepid skaters and many vicarious participants. It was a fun and shaky experience which we would like to make an annual event during the Christmas holidays.

Welcome New RACE Assistant Devin Swincher

Coach Devin will be working primarily with the Silver and Bronze groups but will also be filling in as necessary with the Gold group. A bowling Green native, Devin wants to give back to the local swimming community in the same ways it helped shape his swimming career. He brings 10 years of mentoring and collegiate-level swimming to out team.

Coach Devin was a distance freestyler at Transylvania University and will always emphasize “working smarter, not harder." Smooth, efficient, and long strokes will be something that Coach Devin finds incredibly important for any event, including sprint.

The remainder of Coach Devin's biography is posted below and under the Coaches' tab on the website:

We saw an increase in numbers for all three recognition levels in December. Let's strive to continue that trend in upcoming months.

(For attendance quantification, Bronze, Silver, and Gold are recorded by the practice; Junior and Senior are recorded to the nearest 15-minute increment to provide a more precise measure of the total training stimulus. All groups include high school hours in the swimmers’ totals for those attending high school practices.)

Congratulations to December 2018 Swimmer of the Month
