Neil Romney Head Coach

 

Neil Romney brings nearly 30 years of coaching experience to RACE Aquatics. Coach Romney is coming to us from Hannibal, Missouri. He has coached in several states: Colorado, Alaska, and Washington. 

His coach philosophy is to a) develop a supportive, team-oriented culture, and b) within that atmosphere, challenge each swimmer at his or her level of ability and ambition while providing the instruction, training, and inspiration for continuous progress.

Andrew Allan Head Age Group Coach

Andrew bring nearly 10 years of Head Age Group Coaching experience to RACE Aquatics. 
Coach Andrew “Zig” is coming to us from Naples, Florida.  His primary goal for coming to RACE Aquatics is to,
continue our development of water safe children in Bowling Green and build upon our competitive success.

Favorite Strokes: All four strokes are favorites because they are all equally important.

Lauren Miller Assistant Coach Lessons Coordinator

Lauren Miller is an Assistant Coach with RACE Aquatics and currently serves as the Lesson Coordinator for the swim club.  Lauren comes to RACE with a swim history including high school, club swim and assistant coaching. 

  • Swam for Lakeside Swim Club from age 8-18
  • Swam for North Oldham High School for all 4 years
  • Assistant coach for Wolf Creek Swim Team (summer league) in 2016 and 2017
  • Head coach for Southland Family Club (summer league) in 2018
  • Swim lessons Instructor and Lifeguard at WKU Preston Center 2015-2017
  • Started at Race in January of 2017
Mekaela Miller Assistant Coach
Mekaela is an assistant coach with RACE Aquatics. She works with the lesson program.  Mekaela is a life long swimmer. She swam for Glen Oaks as a child and Lakeside Swim Team for 8 years.  Mekaela has been a lifeguard for 3 years, has given private swim lessons, and coached summer league for the Glen Oaks Swim Team.
