About Us: The Geauga Otters swim team is a year-round competitive swim team offering quality coaching and technique instruction for all ages and abilities. The goal of our team is to provide every swimmer the opportunity to learn swimming and teamwork skills, achieve success at their level of ability, and have fun. The Otters compete in the North East Ohio YMCA Swim League. The winter season typically runs from September through February, although swimmers who qualify for championship meets will continue to practice in March. There are six dual meets scheduled throughout the season, which are held on Saturdays between October and January, and the team competes against other YMCA swim teams. A Divisional Championship meet takes place in early February, and those who qualify for the League Championship meet will compete in early March. The summer season typically runs from April through August, and offers further opportunities to practice and compete. We practice at the Geauga Family YMCA, the Hillcrest Family YMCA and the Parker Hannifin YMCA.
