Practice Rules
-
Parents are asked to stay off the pool deck during practice.
-
Swimmers should be equipped with: a swimsuit, a swim cap, a pair of goggles, a towel, and a water bottle.
-
For dryland workouts, swimmers should be equipped with shorts and a t-shirt, sneakers, and a water bottle.
-
Please try to get to practice at least 10 minutes early.
-
Safety :
-
Practice is not a time to play, especially under water. It is a time to learn about swimming and teamwork, and have fun safely.
-
When coaches are speaking/explaining parts of practice, swimmers should not be talking or going under water.
-
Swimmers should listen to all directions from coaches to ensure their/others' safety, and proper swimming technique.
-
If swimmers cannot follow these rules, they will be asked to sit out of practice, and further actions will be taken as necessary. We hope that you can help us keep a safe, productive, and fun practice environment!

Between swimming and dryland practices, swimmers are expected to change as quickly as possible to get ready for the next part of practice.
-
No smoking by anyone, anywhere, on YMCA or other training facility property.
-
Swimmers may use the shower and locker room facilities after practice as long as they respect other guests of the facility. Complaints of swimmer behavior may result in the parents being asked to accompany the swimmers to the locker room.

Coaches cannot leave the facility until all swimmers are out of the locker room. Swimmers have 15 minutes to get on their way.
