Dear LESD Parents and Swimmers, After over 30 years, I feel it is time to make a change in my coaching career and I will not be returning as a Gold/Silver Coach at Hawken Upper next season. USA Swimming has announced some enhancements to our Safe Sport policy and education requirements as part of our continued commitment to safeguarding our athletes. USA Swimming’s top priority continues to be keeping our athletes safe. Part of the updated policies is the new implementation of a Minor Athlete Abuse Prevention Policy (MAAP), which will not only apply to coaches and other adults working with the Silver Dolphins, but now will also include all Silver Dolphin registered swimmers who at 18 years of age or older. Click here for some helpful FAQs on the new policies. ...

First Silver Dolphin to Qualify for the 2020 Olympic Trials RICHMOND, VA -  Gold swimmer, Laura Goettler (17) of the Lake Erie Silver Dolphins has qualified for the 2020 United States Swimming Olympic Team Trials.  She swam a 2:32.85 in the 200 meter breaststroke this evening at the TYR Pro Swim Series Meet in Virginia.  Laura was well under the qualifying time of 2:33.29, finishing 7th in finals.
