Eric Peterson
Head Coach, Sr. & Masters

Coach Peterson is entering his 17th year with the Shaker Sharks. Prior to coming to the Shaker Sharks Coach Peterson spent 10 years in Kent, Ohio as the Head Coach of the Western Reserve Seariders and as the Head Coach of the Kent Rosevelt High School Swimming and Diving Team.  Coach Peterson also coached the Tallmadge Middle School and High School Teams. Since coming to Shaker, Coach Peterson has been named Coach of the Year for the high school conference numerous times. He serves on the Executive Board for the Ohio High School Swim Coaches Association, currently as the President-Elect. He has coached several state champions, numerous state qualifiers and has had 7 All-Americans.  Coach Peterson has been involved with Lake Erie Swimming, serving on the Board of Directors and multiple times as Head Zone Team coach.  He has also work as a counselor and the Director for the Stanford National Swim Camps. Coach Peterson is married to his wife; Sarah and they have 5 children- Oliver, Paige, Charlotte, Isabelle and Jack. 


 

Maggie Endre

EJ J McIlduff
Asst. Coach- AG, Sr., Masters, Jr. Sharks, & Gold

EJ joined us back in the spring of 2016.  He comes to SHSH with 10 plus years of coaching and swimming.  Competitively he swam four years of high school, two of which under Coach Eric's direction.  He attended both Kent State and Akron for Early Childhood Education.  EJ has worked with a variety of age groups ranging from Parent/Child up to age group and masters, and helps with the gym classes at Woodbury.  When not at the pool EJ enjoys watching Cleveland sports teams.


 

Brendan Pham
Asst. Coach- Jr. Sharks, Gold, & AG

Brendan has been coaching with the Sharks since its inception. He works primarily with age group program. He is also the head coach of the Shaker Heights Middle School Swim Team. Brendan is a graduate of Cleveland Heights High School and Cleveland State University with a degree in mathematics. When not a swim practice or a meet, Brendan also enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids in Solon.


 

Arthur R Tuggle
Asst. Coach- Jr. Sharks, Gold, AG

Arthur is a 2016 graduate of Shaker Heights High School.  He is currently enrolled at Cleveland State University.  Arthur was a 4 year varsity letter winner on the Shaker Heights High School Swimming and Diving teams. He comes to us with a passion for the sport and a great rapport with young swimmers. He keeps the swimmers engaged in their learning as also helps to teach them his passion for the sport.  


 

Jelani Watkins
Asst. Coach- Jr. Sharks, Gold, AG

Jelani joined Shaker Sharks as a coach in August 2018. He works primarily with Junior Sharks, Gold Sharks and Age Group Swimmers at the Middle School. Jelani has been a swim instructor since 2011, teaching swim lessons and coaching both USA Swimming teams and summer swim teams in the Atlanta area. Jelani holds a Bachelor's Degree in Music from Morehouse College and a Masters of Music in Choral Conducting from Georgia State University. He is the Middle School Directors of Choirs and a music educator at the Hawken School Lyndhurst campus.


 

Brittany Miller
Asst. Coach- Jr. Sharks, Gold, & AG

Brittany joined Shaker Sharks as a coach in October 2018. She works primarily with the Junior and Gold Sharks at the Middle School. Brittany has been a lifeguard and a water safety instructor sincve 2008, teaching swim lessons and coaching recreational summer leagues on Cleveland's west side She is also an Assistant Coach for the Shaker Heights Middle School Swim Team. Brittany attended Cleveland State University for Early Childhood Education. Currently, Brittany teaches Pre-K at Le Chaperon Rouge in Shaker Heights. When not at the pool, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their 4 fur babies!


 

Tolik Borisov
Asst. Coach- AG

Tolik joined the Shaker Sharks as a coach at the beginning of the 2019-2020 short course season. He was a four-year member of the North Allegheny High School swimming and diving team, serving as the team co-captain during his senior year, a member of the 200 Medley Relay State Champion team in 2018, a two-time District Relay Champion in 2019, and an All-American in 2019. Additionally, he received the Peter Cai Memorial Scholarship for academics and was a National Merit Finalist and was a North Allegheny Top Scholar in 2019. Currently, Tolik is a freshman collegiate athlete at Case Western Reserve University majoring in Chemistry.
